The property is a beautiful old historic home and the owners did a tour which was very interesting. The rooms are quaint but quite small and full of potentially breakable things so need to be less cluttered. The mattress was not good and the bed really creaked. They give you breakfast and I emailed to say I had a food allergy but this was ignored which was all a bit awkward as no choice. The place is peaceful and quiet and well situated for the historical homes tour.

Conner's Room is our smallest room, and apologize you found it quite small. Hopefully, if you return, you can stay in one of our larger rooms. -- Apologies you found the bed to be creaky and uncomfortable. We usually have better reviews on our mattresses, but we can certainly work to make sure the antique bed frame doesn't creak. Indeed, that would be troublesome! -- Most concerning is your breakfast experience. We offer our most sincere apology for the miscommunication amongst our staff. We did get notification regarding the allergy and the chef erroneously plated and served a food item he should not have. Our efforts to make it right, clearly fell short in your eyes, and for that we ask forgiveness. We have addressed this with our staff and appreciate you bringing it up so we can better serve future guests. Should we get the chance to serve you again, it is our hope it will be a far better experience in the breakfast department. -- We do want to point out that we are a bed and breakfast, and one meal is prepared for all our guests. We are not a full service restaurant, which was part of the problem in offering you a different option on short notice, the short notice which was caused by our mistake. Nonetheless, we are so glad you came to stay with us, and hope we can make it up to you in the future.

We loved staying at the Cottage. It was comfortable and convenient to the Balloon Festival. Everyone we interacted with was helpful, accommodating and personable! We loved it!

It was old, which we knew of course. Just seemed like it could have used a bit more maintenance. Hosts were friendly as well as staff. There was not coffee available early morning which would have been nice

We appreciate that feedback!We definitely want to be responsive to all feedback, good and less than good, and strive to make right any missteps or even constructive criticism. We do always encourage dialogue when guests are with us, so that we can ensure the stay is the very best it can be while you are there! I do understand that we were out of decaf coffee pods for the Keurig the morning you are referencing, and for that we sincerely apologize! That would be very disappointing, and is an unusual happenstance.If you can elaborate on the maintenance issues you mention, we would also be very open to reviewing that, as well, remembering the house is well over 200 years old! We want her to present as well as she can...and are attentive to all maintenance issues.Thank you again for taking time to share about your experience...it is truly appreciated!
