Perfect spot for families with young kids
Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay here. The house has a really functional kitchen so we were able to cook a lot of meals here. The pool was perfect for young swimmers (decent sized shallow end) and we loved hanging out on the dock, crabbing and kayaking. With plenty of adult bikes, we took a trip each morning to the playground too. We hope to be back!

Wonderful Home
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family and I enjoyed a wonderful week here. Everything was just like the web pictures. The setting is spectacular, the house exceptionally clean, the pool area perfect for relaxing. There are about 5 or 6 Kayaks / Paddle Boards in the Crab Shack, and 7 or 8 bikes and helmets in the detached garage. The ping pong table was a huge hit as was the Corn Hole. Many hours were spent relaxing in the hanging chairs under the wisteria. The wine cooler in the pool house, another one in the mudroom by the ice machine, plus a third one in the breakfast nook in addition to the big ones in the kitchen and garage provided all the convenient food and beverage storage you could ask for. The entire family really enjoyed the week. I highly recommend this beautifully furnished, outstanding home.

Best Eastern Shore Experience

Fabulous Family Fun

Adults and children spent hours in the pool and fishing on the dock. The best art of our stay was enjoying the spectacular view of the river from most areas. Beware of Flies
Publié le 23 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was clean and the property was well maintained. There were many amenities that the family enjoyed. However, there was no warning about the flies that stayed with us on property - inside and outside of the house. After 2 full days of trying to kill flies inside the house and being unable to sit outside, we contacted the property guest manager for assistance. When the problem was explained, her response was welcome to the eastern shore of Maryland - the further south you go, the worse the flies are. She offered to go to Lowes and pick up some insect repellent - which she did and delivered the products to us. I wish we would have seen a review addressing the flies at this property while I was going through the booking process. One other issue we had a problem with throughout our stay was tripping on the step-ups/downs in the kitchen - different heights of flooring. Although beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, it is a 20-minute drive to any restaurant, grocery store, etc. Also, as advertised the property had only one tv, but there was no cable for it.

Hi Gwen! Thank you so much for your feedback. We are sorry you had problems with flies during your stay and that our efforts did not mitigate this inconvenience. Maryland's eastern shore has an abundant and diverse ecosystem, which makes it so popular. Like many species, flies are difficult to predict and visit the area fleetingly. Like the flies, we also cannot forecast exactly when dolphins will appear in the bay or when crabs will cluster around our pier. Regarding flies inside the house, we encourage guests to keep windows and doors closed at all times to prevent unwanted guests from sneaking inside the house. With respect to the kitchen floor transitions, our property complies with strict Talbot County health and safety regulations, which we proudly pass each time we renew our short-term rental license. In terms of the location, guests often choose our property precisely due to its secluded and peaceful location and panoramic bay views (it would be very hard to experience this serenity if we were steps from St. Michaels town). Finally, we have two smart TVs at the property that contain apps that can be used to stream most cable channels. We very much look forward to hosting you again at another of our properties! All-around perfect in Neavitt
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayAll of us to the person enjoyed our time at this property. We had 3 teens, a 20-something, and mom & dad. We have never stayed at a property that had so much to offer, especially for the kiddos. They kayaked, paddle-boarded, used the sauna, played pool & ping-pong, and biked. There wasn’t a need to be on their phones or social media unless they were posting pics of the fun they were having. The home is spacious enough to give everyone their own space and it was beautifully appointed. We WILL return!

Perfect Choice

The Sunrise and Sunset views were stunning, the best I have seen in the St Michael’s area over a decade of exploring! We arrived in mid-November with foliage ablaze, wildlife every where and a laid back relaxing atmosphere. Matt and Gerry are right in place to guide you through getting to know a new house! Look forward to going back or testing one of their other properties!
