Perfect Location, yes! Perfect Property, if you don’t look too closely!
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayBooking this apartment was the most convoluted process I have ever experienced involving three different entities (Stayz/Escapia/Stay Port Stephens).
Making the booking required a 50% up-front payment, a $1,000 deposit (refunded after the stay) and the completion of a guest agreement that needed confirmation of the age of all guests and the upload of an image of a credit card which was challenged when I provided a redacted image (to protect my security).
The arrival and departure procedures involved multi-step processes to unlock one box, to access another to then gain access to the apartment.
The unit itself was presentable and has recently been painted throughout and new blinds installed. You don't need to look too hard before the cracks start to show. This may have been a luxury apartment when it was built some 24 years ago, however the kitchen and bathrooms are showing signs of their advanced age, the showers both leak and result in a river of water running into the middle of the bathroom floors. The kitchen appliances are worn and there isn't a matching set of crockery, cutlery or glassware, just the remains of previous sets.
The apartment would benefit from a deep clean.
The rooftop terrace was a complete let down. The BBQ was barely clean, the sun beds are disintegrating and the spa is so old with broken grills and jets that it needs to be replaced.
All of these things are unacceptable especially when this apartment is being marketed as 'luxury accommodation'.

Thank you for taking the time to review the property.
First of all when you book through a third party booking platform the booking goes to the direct agency and you will receive correspondence from all agents involved.
The guest agreement is now a policy that has been introduced by the office of Fair Trading as part of the Short Term Rental Code Of Conduct.
We apologise you had to encounter the leaking shower, we had not been made aware of this issue. Did you report this to our office during your stay?
New cups and matching crockery have been ordered to replace the existing and we have arranged for a deep clean of the unit to be completed.

What a let down!

The unit was dirty. Bathrooms were full of mould . The ceiling in main bathroom was covered in mould. The shower leaked into hall way & wet the carpet.there was no remote for TV in the main bedroom. No blind in the ensuite & still hair on the floor in the shower & near the toilet from previous users.
The second bedroom blind was broken.
The sliding doors wouldn’t lock. They were broken.
The spa area was filthy. Rubbish & mould everywhere . Lounging & cushions were dirty. Then to top it off we had to strip the beds before we left. .
Never in all my travels had we had to do this p, especially after paying a service cleaning fee.
My advice is to steer clear of this place. Plenty of other options nicer, cleaner & better pricing.
The owners of this property need to step up & fix these issues & give this unit some TLC !

Weekend getaway

Kitchen, dining and balcony were nice and comfortable , could have done with extra bathroom. Overall very pleasant experience and close to shops and marina

The location was fantastic, close to restaurants and local attractions.
The rooftop spa was well utilised.
The views were fabulous.

Girls getaway

There was a chipped coffee cup in cupboard.
The carpet needs a good wash. There was not enough toilet paper supplied for 8 people. We had less than full rolls in bathrooms and only one spare.
The shampoo and conditioner dispensers were all but empty.
The cover over spa filter came off when the spa was turned on.

Great spot, massive apartment, loved it!
