Points faibles : Propreté, commodités et état et installations de l’hébergement.
I have been going to Bulgaria for the past twenty years and the country has developed in leaps and bounds. But it has to be said that many areas of the country retain both their culture and way of life and this is true of this Hotel. Unfortunately, they have also retained standards which many, in today's world, would now find unacceptable. The rooms are basic and in dire need of upgrading, including the bathroom, no room service, limited toiletries. The Balcony, provides spectacular views across the wide valley towards the distant mountains and views of the Black Sea, but the balcony rail is completely unsafe and would give way to a 25metre drop if pushed hard enough. Whilst Health and Safety can be over enthusiastic at times there are clear issues here with missing rails to stairs, furniture and tvs piled up in corridors. Cleaning is superficial at best and public areas are worn and dirty. We stayed there for a purpose, and to that end it served its purpose. Family owned who looked after us extremely well but that does not hide the failings. If you are in the area for a purpose other than a holiday this is a very cheap option, but if you are looking for holiday accommodation then this is definitely not for you and certainly not for families.
