We stayed here for one night on our way from Spain to England. The location is beautiful with lovely grounds surrounding the property. A real bonus! The staff were kind and friendly and the room, a family room with a double bed and two singles, had the benefit of the two singles (actually a double and a single) being in a separate, adjoining room. Perfect for our two teenage children. The rooms were basic but very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept extremely well. The whole property, actually a series of separate buildings, felt a bit like an abandoned boarding school, but not in a bad way, just a little unusual. We presumed that they mainly cater for large groups. We dined in the restaurant, which has a set menu. The food was tasty and the young man who waited on us was delightful. We also had breakfast the following morning with delicious croissants, yoghurt, brioche, meats and cheeses and jams and honey. Good coffee and a selection of juices and an equally delightful young lady to help with anything we needed.
All in all it was an extremely comfortable and beautiful place to stay. The location was the perfect stop over distance and we would all be very happy to stay again.
