Beautiful house
Posted Jun. 18, 2024 on HomeAwayThe house was amazing...my family rented this house for my grandmothers celebration of life. We had enough space and it was so peaceful there. The hot tub was a plus. The owner was great she reached out to me on a couple of occasions to check on how we were doing.

Peaceful and nice

Great time together, but some bummers...

There were a lot of rules that made it feel like a little bit of a bummer. One of which is that it was marketed as a 40 acre lot, but one of the rules is not to leave the house and the outdoor space right around the house so you weren't able to enjoy the acres. We were looking forward to exploring the grounds but were not allowed to.
There were tons of mosquitos and we found at least one tick, which was also a bummer. We were hoping to have a lot of bonfires but the bugs were crazy so none of us lasted for very long.
The main living space was open to the loft area that had three beds. The room was so echoey that even when people were trying to be quiet it was hard to sleep through (and I am a pretty hard sleeper). So if people wanted to stay up later, or if people got up early it would wake you up.
However, the place was beautiful and clean, and we had a fun time together as friends.

Hey, Kirsten! Really appreciate the feedback and the review, as we are always looking to be a better host! In response to your review, we ask that guests inquire before exploring the property. The Barn and Pavilion area is used as a wedding venue, and due to the large renovations we’re doing (nails/screws/debris in these areas) we didn’t want anyone getting hurt. As far as the rest of the property goes, no one ever requested to explore (the other 38 acres). I should’ve and could have communicated that better.
As far as the bugs go, it’s been a difficult spring in north western Wisconsin for mosquitoes, but that’s no excuse. After your review, I reached out to the company that handles spraying (every two weeks). They informed me they were unable to make it up the last scheduled visit. As far as ticks go, we can’t get them all. Typically, mosquitoes aren’t a huge problem with regular spraying, but I was up there today, and they were bad. Sorry about that inconvenience.
As to where the loft is located: Correct, it is located above the main living space. This is why we created a separate “hang out space” in the finished garage with a TV, plenty of seating and a Bluetooth speaker.

Modern & Cozy
Posted Aug. 30, 2022 on HomeAwayProperty was very clean and spacious. Little touches such as charging stations throughout the home were very welcome with the group of kids we had. Internet worked well throughout most of the stay but we did have a few drops here and there, but still better than most places I’ve been at. The balcony was very spacious and clean. Overall, it was a great experience and the whole family enjoyed it.
