Susan and Charles, we have had hundreds of guests who have stayed at this cabin giving us glowing reviews for an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5. We find it interesting you rebooked a second stay and have been most critical in your response about the recent improvements to the cabin. Just to be clear, however, when you rebooked a summer stay in October the addition was not in the price you paid, nor promoted in the listing. We have had a summer filled with other guests giving glowing reviews after being able to take advantage of this extra space and accommodating their groups up 14 people, which is very unique in this area. As is true with all new construction or remodels, there were some finishing touches that had yet to be completed on the addition. Regardless, in the off-peak season we will be placing the final touches and doing annual maintenance and proactive improvements for future guests. I would like to address some of the specific items you listed. It does appear the middle frame support of the bed frame shifted which caused the split box spring to sag to the middle during your stay. This was unfortunate because it took 30 seconds to be remedied. Other feedback suggests our kitchen to be well equipped, stocked and clean. We have not had any complaints of that nature, so this would be new. However, upon routine inspection we did find a leak under the kitchen sink caused by the discharge trap being shifted. If anything needed to be deep cleaned in the kitchen, it was definitely this….and fortunately on Monday morning I was able to fix the leak and sop up the mess. Speaking of cleanliness, we would like to point out it is extremely disrespectful to dump fish guts from your fish catches off the end of the swimming dock. This made the next guest’s notate their swimming experience quite unpleasant the first day of their stay….I too got the honors of diving off the dock to clean the fish remains. We are saddened that you will not think of us for future stays; however, we know you love this area and lake and hope that you can find a place that you meets your value and expectations.
