Wonderful home in Historic New Bern

Loved the house and location. Extremely comfortable. Loved the game room backyard and all the room. Made for an awesome weekend. Thank you for sharing your space with our family.

great location for families

This location was super convenient to downtown, historical sights and general places like restaurants and cafes. Our family had plenty of space and the game room with pool, chess, checkers, cards, etc was a great perk for rainy afternoons. The house is updated is really nice. The owners were quick to respond to questions and we had a great weekend.

Excellent stay at Blue Bear Cottage

Us five siblings has a delightful gathering here. Plenty of room, had all the necessities and plenty of charm. We especially like the close proximity to shops, coffee houses, restaurants, the marina, etc. All within easy walking distance. Would stay here again and recommend to others. Thank you for the pleasant visit!

Family Visit

We absolutely loved the house. Games for the kids and family fun. Easily walking distance to anything we wanted to do. New Bern is a perfect little town to enjoy a long weekend. Our family lives in New Bern as well, so it was the perfect weekend.

Beautiful and spacious home in a wonderful location

This home was beautiful and was so much larger than expected. The game room was awesome for the whole family. Loved the Google TVs. Kitchen was very well-equipped. Lovely outdoor space. Be prepared for stairs. Parking a large SUV was enough for one. Everything you want to enjoy in downtown New Bern is within walking distance. Only downside was that the place wasn't clean to my standards. It wasn't the end of the world but the owner definitely needs to check the cleaning staff on floors, bathrooms, etc. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting the area. Thank goodness to finally have a nice place to stay in New Bern!

I would book again. Improvements could include at least one or two table or floor lamp in the living room. No way to read a book or watch a movie at night without the bold ceiling light on. I have never been in a living room without a table lamp….also, living room sofa is extremely hard…
