Great for a big group
Publié le 19 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe really enjoyed our stay, especially being right on the river and so close to all the fun in Gruene! The house is very well stocked, from the kitchen to the linens to the tubes and kayaks outdoors. Our kids spent hours and hours in the water. A couple things to note - while there were enough beds for our large group, the room with the bunk beds is not actually a private room, as it must be passed through to get to two of the other bedrooms. Also the game room that doubles as a bedroom is actually the garage and laundry room - it’s great for hanging out but not the best sleeping option. Overall, we were very pleased with the home, as well as the excellent hosts.

Publié le 30 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe beds and some of the rooms were very disappointing. I believe there were three beds in small closets. The main bedroom #1 had a king, a fold out and a bed in a small closet. Far as I know that room was rated to sleep five in one room. Don't know who that would work for. No one is able to have privacy due to the bathroom configuration. The big TV in the Livingroom did not work. The host tried to get it working but was unable. We had planned to have an extensive slide show as part of a tribute of life for my brother. We were unable to do that. The ice maker was empty when we got there and would only produce a small amount in a day. Due to the bed, bedroom, and bathroom situation two couples decided to find other accommodations. The host was very nice but it comes down to the product. With that I was not pleased. After having stayed there I feel it was greatly overpriced.

Exceptional property
Publié le 28 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayI am very picky when I choose a property to stay at. This house goes above and beyond one of the best I have ever stayed in. We had a large family and there was something for all the kids to do. Fishing, kayaking, tubing, and swimming are just a few. We visited schlitterbaun and Landa Park which is a hidden gem.
Supplying all the paper goods was icing on the cake.
I give this property a a 5++++ rating.
My grandkids thought it was the best hide and seek house they’ve ever been in!
I would definitely stay at the GRUENE River and cabin again.
On a side note the cabin was great for this tired Pop and Mimi.
