Great Lake house

Private yet close to amenities
Publié le 10 août 2024 sur HomeAwayCompact cottage with everything you might need and more. Plenty of towels and extra supplies. The beach is shady and the water is nice and shallow for small children.
We especially appreciated the air conditioning upstairs and downstairs and the both the king and queen beds were very comfortable. Our hosts were quick to answer our questions about the fishing tackle and we loved seeing the hummingbirds on the window feeder.
A nice bonus was the $10 lobster rolls from nearby Hannaford and our daughter in law got to see a moose for the first time at the Maine Wildlife Center.

Relaxing Time
Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay during our trip to Maine. The house is beyond stocked with all that you need for your week - beds were comfy and the view of the pond from the master bedroom was stunning. Great location to day trip to Freeport and Portland.

July Stay

Issues we noticed…
No cupboard space for food as cupboards were full.
No beach area on the lake.
No view from deck.
Pitch on all deck furniture.
Lower deck was overgrown and not clean which I personally cleaned up.
Trash bins were full when we arrived. Owner did have them emptied.
The pictures provided were very deceiving and did not represent the view.

We're sorry that you did not find our place the five-star rental that nearly every other guest has found it to be over the past seven years. We pride ourselves on keeping a pantry full with spices, condiments and everything you'd need to prepare your meals. We (and every other guest) also pride ourselves on the views of the lake from our two decks and our dock. I'm not sure why you could not find the beach, which is only a few steps from our door. We are truly shocked that you found the pictures deceiving.

Great location

Nice Lake getaway
Publié le 26 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were extremely responsive to our questions and responded immediately. The home was very clean and had everything you could possibly need, and then some. There was comfortable seating in the living areas and the beds were also very comfortable. It would be awesome if there were less tree cover in the back so the view of the lake was more clear. But sitting on the dock was a beautiful view. Neighbors kept to themselves. The hosts kept a great binder of places to visit / restaurant recommendations in the area and we relied heavily on that when looking to venture out. The Maine wildlife park was amazing. My daughter loved it. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We're very happy that you enjoyed your stay and were able to use the recommendations in our guest binder. We, too, love the Maine Wildlife Park! And we, too, would love to remove some of the trees, but the state of Maine has strict requirements to protect the tree canopy around the lake.

Wonderful Vacation Spot

A piece of paradise
Publié le 30 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur family had a wonderful stay at Camp Serenity. Communication with the Silverman's was top-notch and the property is exactly as described. It had the best stocked kitchen out of all the rentals I've stayed in and the HOA beach access was perfect. I would highly recommend this place and chances are, we will be back.
