Incredible location

Second time around

Girls weekend
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall our stay was good. We especially enjoyed the deck where we had our morning coffee and talked for a couple of hours each morning. The deck was tree shaded and had comfy chairs.
The inside was quite rustic. A few improvements could be made…mirrors in each bedroom would be nice. A recycling can would also be helpful.
Chip helped us with our bags which was helpful and also gave us a bit of history about the place and the area.
We saw a play at Bucks County playhouse which is well worth your time! We loved it!!

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay, but your 3 star rating makes it seem as though you thought it fell short. We try to accurately depict our carriage house both through the description of amenities and the photos on the website. We have tried to furnish the carriage house so that our guests are comfortable and their needs are met. Our VRBO average rating is 4.8. There is no discussion of numbers of mirrors on the website, but we have a large mirror in the bathroom and two additional smaller mirrors that can be taken into the bedrooms for applying make-up, etc. There is a recycling bin in the garage, which I believe Chip mentioned when he pointed out to you where the trash bins were located. We appreciate your visit and thank you for your comments..

Hidden Gem!

The private large kidney-shaped pool was perfect in the afternoons during this current heat wave. We were able to walk the natural paths on the property and visit the Wildflower preserve down the street. Peddlers Village and downtown New Hope were a short distance and restaurants were plentiful. Chip and Nancy were wonderful hosts. Nancy’s artwork added to the peaceful stay in the carriage house.

Lovely quiet retreat

So much history in the area was nice looking into. The entire area is quiet and so beautiful. We loved it. And our hosts made us feel welcome and right at home. We feel that we made a great choice

Historic house with caveats
Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely spot in a unique carriage house. sitting out on the deck was the highlight for us but if you paly tennis, I am sure the court will impress. For me the beds were too hard and the pillows where not comfortable. It was warm and none of the windows open The place is very rustic. This may not be a deal breaker for some but I prefer a little more comfort

We are sorry that it seems you did not enjoy your stay. At the beginning of your stay we provided you with a number where you could contact us with any questions. If you had let us know about these issues during your stay, your visit might have been made more comfortable. We could have told you that there are three different types of pillows at the carriage house and we could have removed the storm windows for you (you may recall that the low temperatures were fluctuating between low 40's and low 50's) or put in air-conditioning. In any event, we want you to enjoy your stay and learn about issues so that they can be corrected. FYI, we have been hosting for seven years and have a rating of 9.8 out of ten with VRBO, and 4.95 out of 5 with VRBO's main competitor and thank you very much for your input and stay with us.

Quiet Cottage

This conveniently located carriage house was well equipped with all the comforts of home. 2 bright bedrooms. Comfortable living space. Cozy kitchen that had everything to make a simple meal! They even had coffee, tea, oatmeal, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar for us to us!

Charming Cottage, Gracious Host
