Thank you! ~~ The house was placed with the Bayou in the backyard and the downtown area right outside the front door. It had perfect access to all the downtown shops and dining spots. I absolutely loved the chateau and the city! The house was well accommodating with many different items in case you forgot to pack some. We want to come back again one day for a longer stay.!

Fantastic Spot

The proximity to downtown New Iberia does not get any better, and the deck was a great place to relax. The host was welcoming, friendly, and informative. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously!

6 year anniversary get away
Publié le 5 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayWonderful place! This place had all the added touches. They thought of everything. Very relaxing to sit out on the deck and enjoy wine/charcuterie. Great coffee also enjoyed at sunrise.
Highly recommended!

Fabulous, Unique, Relaxing stay on the Bayou

All the amenities you need plus walkable to restaurants, bars, and local attractions. We had such a great time fishing right out back (thanks for the pole loan). Excellent communication and friendliness from the owners. I would love to come back here in the future.

Publié le 20 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayIt is perfect place to stay in south LA. Right on the Bayou and walking distance to local restaurants with fabulous food. It's driving distance to other towns so a prefect place for day trips. I would highly recommend this adorable place.

Cute place, convenient to most everything.
Publié le 15 juin 2022 sur HomeAwayThe little house was really cute and mostly comfortable. Plenty of good places to eat close by. The owners are very friendly.
The check in was not very easy. The email that I received said that check in was at 2PM. We got there and the place was not open and the key was not where it was stated it would be in the email. I texted the owner, and after 15 or 20 minutes we found keys, (only to find out they were not for us), and went in. Shortly after, the owner sent me a text that he unlocked the door with his phone. Though the stools at the breakfast bar are really cute to look at, you cannot sit on them for more than just a minute or so. They are just too uncomfortable. Also the air conditioning unit is undersized for the property and with it reaching 90 degrees outside, it was extremely warm all during the day. Fortunately, it was able to keep the place cool at night. All in all, we were able to get a couple of days of relaxation in, which was our ultimate goal.

Vince, you Asked about Early check-in on May 24. We asked that you check with us a day or two before Stating if it was ready before 3:00 we could let you know. You Arrived at 1:40 and messaged me you were wanting to check in. I replied at 2:08 and unlocked the door with my phone.
Thanks for staying and pointing out the things that would have improved your stay. We take these details seriously and address them to provide the best possible stay for our future guests. Our goal is to have the place as perfect as possible. Nearly every message after booking has my phone number to contact me. We live close by and have gone as far as to go over to help guests turn on the TV and get it on the channel they couldn't find. You can speak into the remote and say football or Netflix and it will pull up all the channels with football or go to Netflix.
Our 1st complaint in 8 years about our cute custom-made Tractor seat stools. I have stools in storage that may have fit you better. They just don't go with the decor. If you would have mentioned it I would have brought you some for your stay.
The key for the front door was exactly where we said it was. You dug around in our storage and found our backup key for emergencies. I will make that clearer with a picture and a description in future messages to guests.
The AC doesn't keep up if the door is open often or for extended periods. We will look into oversizing the AC to help cool faster.
