Publié le 20 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy son and I met in New Orleans for a long weekend. The property is just wonderful. All of the finishes and furnishings are beautiful and of excellent quality. The proprietors thought of everything to make their home welcoming, comfortable, and luxurious. The location is just fantastic - near cafes, restaurants, shops and the WWII Museum. Outstanding!

Publié le 28 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI was in New Orleans for a yearly convention that's hosted in different cities by the Prince Hall Shriners. The location of the property was idea for what I needed. Only minutes from the Convention Center, Canal and Bourbon Street but at the same time very quiet. I loved this property, I was floored by the nice hardwood flooring and fireplaces. It brought back memories of being with my great grandmother in south Georgia. Parking was an issue but not an issue if you know what I mean. There is paid parking about 50 yards from the property with a lot of space, I'd never hold that against the property though. The owners greeted me and were spot on to help if needed. I'd definitely get this property again if I'm in the area for any event. Also the property is literally minutes from the interstate.

I just want to make one clarification, there is free parking on the street in front of our place so there’s no need to park your car in a paid lot down the street, unless you feel the need to. Just wanted to clarify that because we have ample parking in our neighborhood. Thank you.

Lower Garden beauty!
Publié le 25 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I had a wonderful trip to NOLA, and loved getting to know the Lower Garden District better.
The house is beautiful, quiet and has everything you need with a perfect location. Walk down Magazine and you have some shopping, St Vincent Hotel (that has San Lorenzo restaurant!) and Surreys for the best breakfast/lunch.
WWII museum is a short walk away, as is St Charles St where you can pick up the streetcar to the French Quarter. Also, the bus picks up right across the street from the house. Get your self a RTA Jazzy Pass and you can ride all day for one flat fee. Rideshares are also plentiful.
We can’t wait to come back!
