The rate at 6 pm the night at check in between the Superbowl and Mardi Gras was very good. The room was clean and staff was helpful. Parking was a bit on the high side at $50 per night, but it was close and convenient. However it was very cramped with tight parking spaces. Our room was clean and a check out time of noon was perfect for the French Quarter. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay.

The hotel is located right in the French Quarter, so all the fun places are in walkable distance. The location is super convenient. I signed up for a swamp and plantation tour, and the tour operator also offers bus pick up right at the hotel door. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel building is old but has a lot of characteristics. The only complaint is that the floor was very squeaky. I was travelling alone, so I booked maybe the smallest room. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The only issue was that the closet has a bit of funky smell and there was no window.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Brian checked us in and he was great. There isn’t an elevator & we were on the 3rd floor. He carried my luggage up (it was heavy). The room was large. The bedding was clean but the couch was white and extremely stained. The bathroom was not very clean. There were stains around the toilet and on the floor around the tub and sink. The tub/shower was stained and cracked. The water drained slowly because there was a lot of hair in the drain. The water took a very long time to get warm. Lukewarm. The location of the hotel was fantastic. We were able to walk everywhere and never needed a car. We were definitely happy about the location. Unfortunately we will not be staying there again.

This was our second time staying here and it was just as good. There were some small issues with the shower door and the room door but they were handled promptly by the front desk and didnt impact our stay at all. We would definitely stay here again. Everyone working there is so friendly and helpful also.

Experiencing a few nights in an authentic New Orleans plantation home was amazing. However a few things people should know. The staircases are like a labyrinth you climb up and down several narrow staircases to reach most of the room so people who can't climb should at least view the courtyard. The beautiful rooms and atmosphere are well worth it. The fixtures are modern rather than original but the bones of the property are original. There is a security deposit which is left out of the fess included as well as a $45 per night parking fee. If you can find free parking the next street back then walk isn't far at all. There wasn't any water that I could find but again over all it's a great property.
