Great place to stay!
Publié le 26 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed 5 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. The place is beautiful and clean. Checking in was seemless and India responded to us in a timely fashion. Conveniently located within a few miles from Garden District and French Quarter. The neighborhood is generally quiet, however I wouldnt recommend walking around the area, as some spots are a little sketchy. But we would stay again!

Beautiful inside

You have to go through the front door through the house out the back to open gate then back around to move car. There was a couple people digging through the trash a couple times when we were leaving. But I do think most major cities are having the same homeless problems.

Home away from home

The back yard was perfect for a group of us to wind down with snacks after a long day. Every room had a happy, comforting vibe. You can tell the owners lovingly took time to make sure everything from the beds to the chairs ensured a memorable stay.

Amazing home away from home

The only issue we had was with the keypad on the last night of our stay but we we’re staying in so it wasn’t to big of a hassle with getting locked out. Would absolutely stay here again an recommend to everyone

Concerns
Publié le 2 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe door and gate lock systems were strange. If we entered the gated parking area, we could not enter the house from back or side doors as there were no keys. We could only enter from the front through the keypad though instructions told us to only use the front entrance after first time. This was impossible.
The air conditioning/heating system was unreliable. It was either too cold or too hot.
The beds were ridiculously high, to what end? We are both elders so the height of the beds was inappropriate. Probably for children as well.
The directions told us that we could use Hulu for the TV’s but did not provide a password. We had to ask.
Otherwise very clean and well appointed but some of the instructions need to be reviewed and rewritten.

We genuinely appreciate the feedback shared in this review, even though it is disheartening to receive less than a 5-star rating for the first time on this platform and another popular short-term rental platform where we are listed. We take great pride in our commitment to providing top-notch amenities and luxury comforts, always striving to deliver a 5-star service.
We extended our gratitude to the guest for highlighting the lock system's efficiency on one of our doors, a perspective we hadn't considered before. We are actively working on addressing this concern and appreciate constructive feedback. While emergency keys are available, we mainly use a keyless lock system for ease of use for both guests and management. While we couldn't provide a quick solution to make the entry more convenient, we did apologize and thanked the guests for the constructive feedback.
Regarding the air conditioning and heating unit, we are disappointed to learn about this issue after the stay. We make every effort to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay and encourage them to report any concerns. Our guestbook, both in physical form and electronically, provides instructions on various house amenities, including the thermostat. If the guestbook did not address any questions, a prompt communication from the guest during the stay would have allowed us to resolve the matter swiftly as the thermostat of the house could have been adjusted by management remotely in the event the guest could not operate the thermostat.
As for the beds, we understand that preferences vary, and we are considering updating our property description to provide more details on this aspect. However, we find the tone in describing it as "ridiculous and inappropriate" to be a bit extreme. and exaggerated. Our intention for the bedding is to always provide a restful and luxurious experience for our guests, and we invested in high quality bedding and linens to ensure a restful experience. The height of the mattress is the result of that high quality bedding.
Concerning Hulu access, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. While we typically set up the TVs for automatic access, occasional technical glitches can occur. As soon as the issue was brought to our attention, we promptly provided the necessary information to resolve it in a matter of a few minutes.
We genuinely value guest feedback and believe in continuous improvement. It's regrettable that this guest did not experience the luxury stay we aim to provide, and we feel it's important to note that we would have welcomed the opportunity to address concerns in real-time to ensure a more satisfactory experience. If all that was mentioned in this review was communicated during the stay, we would have surely gone over and beyond to ensure the guest was having a 5-star experience. Sometimes it's not about being right all the time but rather how you handle situations when they are wrong or don't meet the expectation.
