I loved the decor and the walkablity from Hotel to Boyrbon street and the whole french district/ quarter. The vibrant culture, food and music was so energizing and warm spirited. I felt welcome and safe!

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We arrived early and knowing so, we were hoping to store our luggage The receptionist was short with us as was the valet. We were not asking for our room, just a place to store our carry ons
Our bathroom floor had not been cleaned as toilet paper strands sat near the bowl. The carpet had not been cleaned as someone elses dirty socks sat on the floor.
The mattress did not have a base mattress cover only a sheet and when pulled back showed blood stains. Cracked and broken tiles in an elevator that had seen better days.
Parking is 50 a day.
Would not return there.
Do not recommend

The property was conveniently located in French Quarter; walking distance from Bourbon Street & Frenchmen Street. This is an older property; there were no phone charging outlets in the room. The air conditioner was not working in our room so we were moved to another room. The reception staff were very pleasant, friendly & courteous.

I stayed here 20 years ago but excited to return .. but found it could use some updating
Couple things broken in our room but for the price and what we needed worked fine.
Rooms and grounds are clean. A couple of blocks from Bourbon Street. Valet parking @$50 a night was a surprise.

The hotel staff is absolutely amazing however parking lot s $56 a day at the property and that’s outrageous.
Also please read the fine print on Expedia because the pictures of the room does not match the actual rooms at the hotel however the hotel is very accommodating and understanding from the front desk to the actual manager and that’s why I would stay again.
It was clean. The elevators were scary to ride due to the constant noises they would make. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again but maybe use the stairs instead.
I was very disappointed. I booked this reservation very much in advance, and I supposed to have a private balcony suite and I spoke to the front desk and they did not honor that they may have a balcony connected to someone else’s balcony. We had no privacy the other couple was very loud. I asked for another room with a private balcony. she refused to give me one also they didn’t clean my room up until the third day. I had to go to the gym to get towels to take a shower. I would never go back to this hotel again.
Although it is pretty dated in its furnishings and the elevator was a little suspect, the staff was some of the kindest people I’ve seen in the hospitality industry. Again, it is a little old, but is extremely clean. Cleaner than some of the more expensive hotels I’ve stayed at in the quarter. Definitely would come back.

Decent hotel for price. Close walking distance to all locations.
Perfect location at the edge of the French quarter. The hotel is a little old-which makes it charming.
However, the hotel could improve on:
1) the gas smell in the lobby
2) friendlier staff at night
3) being able to have a bath. The bathtub didn't have a plug to block the water.
