Great location but inaccurate listing
Publié le 18 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwaySix of us stayed at this home. The location was great and overall it was a cute little home. However we were very disappointed to find that it certainly doesn’t sleep 9. There are two queen beds and two old and very small pullout beds with stank mattresses that are paper thin. All together, that sleeps 6, barely. In order to make it work we bought a $100 3-inch foam mattress pad from Walmart and it was still almost unbearable. Totally unacceptable.
As if that wasn’t enough, there were not enough bed sheets for the pull out beds. After the host went back forth with me, telling me there was bedding for the bed, when there was simply not, he finally came to the house two hours later and handed me a single crumpled fitted sheet and left.
The host also didn’t provide hand soap or dish soap, toilet paper and minimal towels. There were still dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived and bathroom shower mats were missing. Overall if you’re looking for a place to stay cheap and close to Bourbon Street, this will work for 2-4 people. But do not expect any friendliness from the host and bring everything you may need, 0/10 for hospitality here. The host just does not care. Disappointed.

We appreciate your review. However, we would like to offer some truth to this review. We have had 9 guests on multiple occasions. 9 adults may be pushing it. A mix of adults and kids is not an issue.Your statement of two queen beds is absolutely false. We have a very comfortable KING bed and a very comfortable QUEEN bed as shown in the photos on listing. Very obvious on all photos.We all know sofa sleepers are not as comfortable, but when traveling on a budget we all make it work. Sleepers are more comfy for kids.We also had two air mattresses available for you guys.Our photos clearly show what is offered. If there were 6 adults and this was not suitable for the size of your adults, it may not have been a fit for you. We realize our prices are great, but you simply may have needed more traditional beds and expanded the budget. Simply takes better planning.We also didn’t go back and forth about bedding. You just did not look where we said the additional bedding was. We explained bedding , pillows and air mattresses were in stainless silver coffee table storage in front of sofa. We were missing one fitted sheet and delivered that right away. Hand soap, paper towel and dish soap are always provided. You guys may have run out of paper towel, but never requested additional paper towel. Clean dishes were in dishwasher from being cleaned in order to honor early check in. Lastly, we care about all of our guests.

The Perfect Location
Publié le 23 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was in the perfect location from anything you may want to do in NOLA.From thr infamous Bourbon St., to the casino, aquarium, shopping, The Super Dome, and anything you can think of. You are literally one block walking distance to catch the trolley on Canal St. There are all types of little mom and pop type of eateries around for you to get real New Orleans cuisine. The property itself was very nice on the inside as well as the outside and very spacious. They have a nice little sitting area on the front porch to relax on and enjoy the cool of the evening. We truly enjoyed this place and would definitely book this space again when coming back to The NOLA.

Large comfy house very close to trolley

Publié le 11 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe brought our 10 year old and two 3 year olds and had a great time! One block from the street car line, making the travel into town super easy and cheap. Great location and great time!

21st birthday adventure
Publié le 24 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayLocation to streetcar was perfect. Betsy's diner was a fun find. We enjoyed the house, but we were surprised someone was living in the back. It was not listed on the VRBO website, and it took away from our privacy. We probably would have not rented if we knew he was back there.
