Showed up, the hotel said they lost my reservation for my king bed. They had one room available. It was a twin bed the room was obviously super dated and smelled terrible. The two times i tried to say something to the front desk people, they explained how I was lucky they had a room. The other thing they said was this always happens with Expedia bookings.

Feels like a boutique hotel

The rooftop pool area and bar are awesome and the main floor lobby area, cafe and common spaces were great. I really enjoyed those things. The bed was comfortable, good pillows. I took off a star because I think the rooms could use a little sprucing up (in my room, the linoleum floors seemed to be coming unglued, there were some scuff marks on furniture and walls) and the elevators couldn't have been much slower (also one was out of order). There seems to be a regular rotation of live music on the weekends that tends to run late (and by late, I mean 2am at least on Saturday night while I was there), so be sure to ask for a room on a higher floor if that might bother you. But overall, I enjoyed my stay.

It was about 4 blocks from bourbon and away from the loud bar noises, safe to walk at night and the staff were all super helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in had a super comfortable bed.

We had a chair break while we sat on it and they couldn't replace it. Parking in the area was expensive for multi night stay. Certain bar staff were less than welcoming.
