A convienent place to stay. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is that Expedia's description said my room would have a microwave, but it did not. Accurate descriptions are what I want from Expedia.

I left a very expensive knife in my room did they call me and let me know I left it no when I called they do nothing about it housekeeping took it cuz I remember exactly where I left it

I am sorry that you feel this way about our housekeeping team. I am here to assure you that we have a very strict lost and found policy and if your knife was found in a room, housekeeping would not have taken it, they would have turned into our lost and found. If you would be as so kind to provide me with a description on the knife, I will be more than willing to go the extra mile to look through all of lost and found to see if it was turned in.

The room was clean, but it was directly across from the elevator. It’s a very average hotel, right off a highway. The entrance is also inconvenient to enter. Not a bad place to stay, but not great either

The door didn’t lock, this wasn’t noticed until the next morning. The latch mechanism did not set unless the door was pulled up by the door handle. Informed staff prior to my departure. Other than that, Very nice place.I had some confusion after booking, this facility is on the state line of Indiana and Ohio, Initial booking had me in Goshen IN., Where as this facility is in New Paris OH., but online and confirmation refer to it as Richmond, which is in Indiana. Staff informed me they have had others this has happened to, even having them being booked to Richmond Virginia. Not something one wants to go through when ready to take a rest at the end of one’s travel. The road can be stressful enough.

We are sorry to hear about your door locking issue. We completed an inhouse maintenance request upon our notification and found the door closure needed adjusted as well as the force on the closure needed strengthened. Thank you for informing our hotel of this finding. I am sorry for the confusion in the location of the hotel. We are named Fairfield by Marriott Richmond as our building sits within the state lines of Indiana and Ohio. We try to ensure all guests that our facility is located on the State line. I am sorry if this wasn't conveyed to you correctly.
