Carroll County year-round Cabin Getaway near Amish Country and Pro Football HOF.

This cabin is a great location as a home base for many adventures and interesting sites. Located 1/2-hour from all the attractions in Amish Country, and the same to Canton and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, First Ladies Museum, McKinley Museum, great restaurants, etc. Atwood Lake East Marina is 0.8 miles from the cabin, with boat and pontoon rentals. In winter, cross-country skiers can go back-and-forth on about 12 acres of open land, or if you are a hiker, there are 43 acres with a open paths, plus another 40-acres of public wooded land that abuts my property.
Live theater is available within a 90-minute drive in Cleveland and Pgh., as well as professional sports there.
Those wishing to do none of the above, to just decompress for a few days or a week will find this ideal. Very peaceful, scenic, bucolic setting. You truly can do as much or as little as you want. Picture yourself sitting on the deck, glass of wine in hand, watching a beautiful Carroll County sunset, or watching the flames dance over the outdoor fire pit, which will be lit and waiting for your arrival. My girlfriend and I stayed at the property for a whole week. It was very quiet and peaceful. Out in the middle of nowhere with nature, it truly was the perfect place.

Relaxing and cozy!
I loved this place! The cabin was so cozy and so quiet. Mother nature did not participate so i didn't wander as much as i would have liked to, but I'll be back! The only thing the photos don't show are the few cows on the property. I was a little surprised but in a good way! The host is extremely friendly and inviting. It's a very beautiful property to visit. 10/10!

Property was very well kept and had everything we needed! Jan is an amazing host, met up with me when I checked in and stopped by on the third morning just to see if I needed anything. When you go if it is clear in the evening, take a look at the stars from the "Porch area" because it's wonderful! If I plan to do anything that way again, I will be back!

The cabin is in a beautiful setting, not far from Atwood lake. Super quiet, stocked with everything one would need for a get a way. Jan is friendly and respects the privacy of those who rent from him. Our dogs were extremely happy that they were included. We may go back for another short stay in the future.

Rusty tub, numerous small "critters" abound, Frontier WIFI very unreliable - kept dropping out. Pillows non supportive and fitted sheets didn't stay put. However, it did offer the seclusion we were looking for.

Exactly What I Was Looking for In ATWOOD LAKE, OHIO
The property is exactly as pictures provide. A little cabin nesstled along the wood line near Atwood Lake Area in Ohio There is not many properties to choose from in this beautiful corner of the world. The property had one bed, bath, full kitchen, Cable TV and Internet. It met all my needs. Host Jan commmunicates well and wants to be sure you have everything you need for your stay. Fresh towels, Coffee, and paper towels. Thanks for Hosting me!

Too Far Out
I found the drive to the cabin much farther out of the way than expected and it was a bit dark and uncomfortable for me. It was listed with a lady/family as the host but it was an elderly man and I felt my privacy and quiet interrupted too much. I left a day early and asked for a refund as I had other places to visit. The scenery was nice though and I enjoyed seeing the country views.

Everything was great! It was overall a wonderful experience. It was secluded enough to be a getaway but close enough to a little civilization that it wasn't a hassle to get emergency supplies. Trail hills were a bit steep for my taste but my wife thrived on them.

Cozy Little Cabin
If you're looking for a place to get away & simply disconnect from the "real-world"... this is a great place to do it! The owner was very kind & welcomed us upon our arrival. Absolutely beautiful property with trails throughout the woods... woke up many mornings to drink my coffee outside & watch the deer. This cozy little cabin made you feel at home instantly & took my husband & I back to simpler times with the nostalgic games & books. We will definitely be back :)
