Not happy with the dock

We realize the lake dropped sooner and quicker this year. We could utilize the dock as we should one of the owners sent someone to look at it. Thats the last i heard about it.when i asked about a discount of some sort i was told he didnt have to do what little he did do. So very disappointed

Very disappointed to see this kind of review about a situation we have no power over. TVA had dropped the lake tremendously over the course of a couple weeks and the water level during our guests stay got to level we generally don’t see till late September. I sent a construction company to the house multiple times to potentially get the dock a little further in water, and was able to help the situation some. I was hopeful Jimmy and his family would be thankful for us going out of our way to pay someone to come work on our dock so that our guests could use the dock even one more day. The guests had their boat at our dock for 5/6 of the 7 days so we were happy about being able to accommodate that at least. We will always go to bat for our guests and do all we can to make sure they have the best stays possible. We are apologetic the water levels in late August got to where they did during Jimmy’s stay. I wish we could have known that information months in advance but it’s alright, we’ll keep doing our best for all those that want to come stay with us!

Beautiful Location/Great Home
Publié le 14 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the location of this home. The inside of the house has everything needed to make for a very enjoyable week at the lake. The outside could use a little cleaning up such as a net on the basketball hoop, the gas grill really needed cleaning and a nicer fire pit area would be ideal. We loved the dock area and it’s perfect to park a boat, but the ladder off the dock really needs replaced. The owner Josh is very quick to assist with any questions. He also had the gas grill tank replaced in under 2 hours. Parking was perfect for our 3 vehicles with plenty of room for additional cars. We loved the fence around the property so we didn’t worry about kids or dogs getting too close to the lake. I would recommend this place, especially if you are accommodating a few families. We had 6 adults and 5 kids.

Wonderful Family Time

All of the rooms were large and spacious enough for spending time together and we had enough room to spread out when needed. We rented 2 boats and had a blast on the water!

Great Vacation Home
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis vacation home was perfect for our group of 6 adults, 4 kids, and 2 dogs. The house offers plenty of room. The kitchen island is a great gathering place. Everyone enjoyed the screened in porch as well. The fenced in yard which is definitely hard to find on the lake was perfect for the kids and the dogs. We appreciated being able to park our boat trailer at the house and having use of the garage. The location is easy to get to and still close enough to go into town for anything you may need. The walk to the dock is not as challenging as some homes with lots of steps to the lake. Any questions we had were quickly answered and we appreciated that. We definitely enjoyed making lake house memories and hope to return next year!

The dock was easily accessible and was large enough for us to park 2 waverunners, an 18' Lund fishing boat, and a 23' tritoon. The accommodations in the house were also excellent. Everyone was very comfortable and had just the most wonderful time. Being around the corner from Cedar Grove Marina gives immediate access to fuel and supplies. We rented from them and they were wonderful! The toon was awesome and even had a bathroom onboard. The waverunners were a blast. This was all together a fantastic experience and I am thankful for the easy communication with the property owner. Take advantage of this place if you are planning to travel to Lake Norris.
