Only complaint was lobby bar only open from 5-10. Would have enjoyed a night cap after seeing a show. Totally understand hours are based on various factors. Juat thought it was worth mentioning.

The Hotel was in a perfect location between Time Square and Central Park. Subway access was close. We had an amazing experience.

Christmas Stay
Upon entering the hotel we were greeted by every employee we say....from door-man, to porter, to front desk staff. Everyone was super friendly and engaging. Keenan was out front desk associate, and he was super awesome. Our flight was changed and came in 3 hours early so we had to check in early, and they waved the fee. We also got an upgrade on the room as a gift from the hotel (on our first stay there). The location is perfect. A few blocks from Central Park or Times Square, and 1.5 blocks from subway station. Our room was quiet enough to sleep in, and the blackout curtains gave us opportunity to NOT rise with the sun like we normally do. Highly recommend the hotel for anyone! There is no food on premises, and breakfast is not provided, so you need to take that into account.

The hotel.com ratings are obviously bogus
We stayed here for 3 reasons: 1) Location/midtown, 2) Relatively 'cheap' rate for wk between Christmas & NYE, and 3) reviews of 8.5+. If you gave one of those reviews, is your frame of reference a beatdown Days Inn or Motel 6?? Our room was incredibly cramped even by NYC standards, with a 'wonderful' view of a rooftop AC unit. Which was maybe a premonition - our air went out the 2nd night and it got up to 85 degrees in the room and neither of us slept. The 2 people at the front desk acted like it was my problem the air was out, which was a bit condescending and like gas on the fire. To the maintenance team's credit they got it fixed during the day when we were out. Room was at least clean, and the housekeeping staff was friendly. If you're 22 and used to staying in no-frill Hostels this is your place. We absolutely won't be there to meet you
