The only complaint would be during the morning the elevators were so jam packed that I had to take the stairs. I walked down 41 flights of stairs because had I waited for the elevator it would have been like an hour. They need to figure out a better system for the elevators because it just isn’t enough for the amount of people that stay there.

Excellent staff…extremely helpful and friendly while being helpful (cheerful). The room was small but comfortable and clean. And surprisingly, the nights were very quiet for being in the heart of NYC. I’m assuming they soundproofed this hotel quite well. The breakfast was the usual American pig-trough experience with everyone fighting for position to scrape some cold eggs onto a plastic plate and snatch-up some greasy sausage links before these culinary delights vanished in a flash. Then one had the choice of either roaming the “dining area” (and I use that term very loosely) for 10-15 minutes searching for an empty spot to share with too many strangers or wait an interminably long time for one of only 4 elevators servicing 45 floors to return to one’s room. There were two things that made the breakfast bearable - the green salad every morning and the pretty darn good coffee. For NYC, the price was right and the room was better than expected. Get used to using the stairwell more than you’d like if you stay here, and at least consider looking for something to eat outside the hotel in the morning (though you’ll be facing a filthy, noisy, overcrowded city, regardless). Again, it was really the staff that made the difference in this stay…they were genuinely nice people who made our stay better.

It was convenient because we wanted to be in Chelsea, close to the FIT U. What we didn't like was the undependable and slow elevator service. More than once we took the stairs. With 40 floors, 4 elevators set up the way they are is insufficient. Also the dining area was crowded and hectic. Young lady in attendance was rude. Front desk and cleaning crew were nice and efficient. Room was small but clean and comfortable.
