I have watched this particular property deteriorate over several years. I had my wedding reception here in 2003 when it was fairly new and very popular in the area. The location is very conveniently located, with access to mostly all subway lines, restaurants, shopping, tourist things, etc. However, the rooms.....every single time....the bathroom is not cleaned properly. Mold is ALWAYS on the shower head, in the corners where water drips, around the shampoo bottles. I paid over $1,500 for 2 nights and you mean to tell me I have to shower in a moldy tub??? Not only that, but they don't even give you complementary water for the room. It would also be nice to have at least nice amenities in the bathroom. Housekeeping does a horrible job with dusting.

Very bad decor--the room was dark, with no wall light switches in the room, black carpet, drapes and a grey and black wall decor, big mirrors in front of the bed. It was hard to find the light switches on each individual light and I hit my shin against the mattress frame sticking out. The decor was like a bordello--not comfortable at all. No shower cap, robe, stirrer for your coffee, cheap towels and NO benefits at all for being a Bonvoy member! In fact, they billed me $30 for food I didn't eat, claiming I needed to spend this service fee by midnight. But the snack bar closed at 6pm, after I arrived. All night long, sirens wailed, trucks honked, motorcyles kept me awake in the street below. My room was on the third floor on a wide and busy entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge. I slept very badly and I will never stay here again. AND I want my $30 back.

I enjoyed everything about my stay there, however I think the picture of Brooklyn Bridge is misleading. The lounge area with the view of Brooklyn bridge is suitable for only one person at a time and is not accessible to guest.

Nice hotel, but hair in bathroom sink upon arrival
Room was layout and furniture were great. Unfortunately, there was some hair in the bathroom sink and on the floor, which was disappointing. Good location for us, close to train stops.
