Just a warning for others booking at this property… there are different standards of rooms, from literally dilapidated with cracked bathroom tiles and stained carpets with paint peeling off to mid quality rooms which are much better as they were renovated about 8 years ago to ones that are recently renovated and are apparently five star quality. Be very careful when you book to ask which one you are paying for. I booked a standard king thinking that meant just the standard king bed, bathroom and very few extra things in the room. No… that was one of the rooms which was not renovated and it was horrible. Stayed in the room for two nights before there was an opening for another room. Paid a small upgrade and got a room renovated 8 years ago and the experience was totally different. Staff are wonderful… only good things to say about them. Location is great. Don’t waste money adding a breakfast option as it’s a grab and go and you get one fruit and one pastry (if there is any left when you get there) and a coffee tea or water. Doesn’t make sense unless you aren’t being charged for it when you book.

Not all impressed with the lobby decor nor cleanliness. Elevators and hallways are quite shabby and in need of paint, lighting and new carpets. Our room is not air conditioned and it is 77 degrees in here; staff suggested we open a window. On 7th Avenue in New York City! I chose this hotel for the location to the theatre we were attending. NOT as pictured on Travelocity. AND, I was charged twice for incidentals on my credit card, after I prepaid for my stay on Travelocity. Staff were very good. Hotel is not great. Disappointed.

Great location & excellent customer service. Any issues we had were resolved immediately. Only complaint is that room was outdated and furniture needs a makeover. Bathroom and room was clean. We arrived early so they let us check our bags in while we went to get some lunch. Overall good experience and would recommend.

The lobby was fine. The girl who checked us in was nice… Other than that it was terrible. Room was dirty. The shower floor was stained yellow. The wire was spliced with exposed wire nuts for the light next to the bed. The bed was awful. We only had 1/3 roll of toilet paper in the entire room and resorted to Kleenex. TV guide did not correspond with the channels. I believe they also charged an extra no refundable fee at the desk when we checked in that we were not made aware of in advance. We have not had a room that bad in a long time.

Worst Hotel Stay Ever – Rude Staff and Unjust Char
I had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful from the moment I checked in. They made me feel unwelcome and dismissed any concerns I raised. To make matters worse, they charged me a $250 smoking fee, even though I never smoked in the room. I tried to explain this to the front desk, but they refused to listen and were condescending throughout the process. It felt like they were looking for excuses to charge extra fees. The room itself was poorly maintained, with a lingering smell (probably from previous guests) and dirty carpets. The lack of cleanliness made me question the overall hygiene of the property. This hotel clearly has no regard for customer service or fairness. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all costs! Make sure to adjust the tone and details to match your actual experience while keeping the review honest and factual.

Hotel staff was amazing! There was an issue with the room we originally book and it was resolved at check in. The only issue we had was our shower drain kept clogging up and the thermostat did not work at all. Everything else was great.

The room was unacceptable. It was filthy and in disrepair and we had to stay one night because we couldn’t get our money back for all 3 only the 2nd and 3rd. We were not the only ones leaving, others were complaining as well. We couldn’t even shower at the hotel and had to end up paying for early check in at our new hotel so that we could get ready for our first day in NYC and we missed out on a big chunk of time the night we stayed and in the morning of our first day. The manager John didn’t care at all about the state of the room he said that it was their standard room. It was nothing like the pictures and the walls were in disrepair, carpet was ripped and dirty, tiles in the bathroom were cracked, tub was dirty (hairs), the shampoo holder that should be affixed to the shower wall was on the side of the tub, and the curtains were also ripped. Save your money and don’t book here.

First my keys didn’t work so I waited 40 minutes after check in outside of my room with all my bags. Then there were no face cloths in the room. The bed was horrible I could feel the springs in my back.

Convenient location and the desk staff are friendly. Love that we could store our luggage before check in and after check out so we could visit all of the locations we wanted to. There was a dirty rag in our shower. The shower does not drain. The sink did not have the drain plug installed and when I put it in it would not drain. Breakfast is ok but should be free as it is only a continental breakfast, not hot, and you only get a single cup of coffee... The only fruit available was pears so on top of paying you don't have options. The employee working the breakfast counter was not friendly at all and it wasn't even busy when I went down to collect our breakfast. No frills but good location.
