Location and cleanliness was great. Easy to walk to places and lots of restaurants in the area. Apartment was newly remodeled, very neat and clean.
Reason for 4 stars is because of washer and apartment temperature.
Washer was coin-operated, but when we tried using the washer, it never turned on after putting coins in and it didn't return all coins either. They offered to leave coins (not returned) on the washer and said they'd make a service call about it. We had already decided to go to a laundromat.
The biggest issue for us was the temp control. We arrived on a cold day ~3:00 PM and the apartment was extremely cold. Even my husband thought it was freezing, and he never feels cold. There are vents in the ceiling so we tried looking for the thermostat to control this, but then noticed a floor unit for heat. We had no choice but to use it but it's not ideal since we didn't want to keep it running when we left.
It was the next day before they responded and told us there was 1 control and it was located upstairs (not in our unit). We had already figured out the heater on the floor, but had issues with the apartment feeling very warm and stuffy at night (didn't turn the heater on at night, while sleeping). It seemed that when someone was home later in the day/night, they may had adjusted the temp and it inturn effected the comfort of our apartment.
The owner did respond to our messages, but it took sometimes >1 day before hearing back.
