It’s in Newark.. There’s really not much you can do about the surrounding area. The room was clean. The breakfast was sub par. Overpriced room. Not understanding why the TV was not anywhere near the beds.

EXCELLENT ALL AROUND
I’ve never stayed at this chain of hotels before and they definitely exceeded my expectations. Me, my sister, and a close friend of mine were in the area visiting NYC for Christmas. The staff was helpful in telling us the best way to navigate our travel from the airport into the city. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport which helped us SO MUCH! Also, our room had a GREAT shower! Most hotel showers, I feel, are short and have less than satisfactory water pressure. But this hotel had a tall shower head and the water pressure was AMAZING! And the water stayed warm… never seemed to run out! Our room was clean and comfortable! The beds were EXCELLENT! Housekeeping was attentive and had the room restocked and cleaned by the time we got back in the evenings. Breakfast was pretty good and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking a stay here if you’re in the area.

The front desk was not helpful. They had an attitude and were not being accommodating. I believe that they gave us a room that was not cleaned because we asked for an early check in. We stayed in room 419. We could not take a shower because the bathroom was was filthy dirty. The shower and floor were actually dirty. The bed was broken and very uncomfortable. Also, the door lock was broken and there were loud noises all night that kept us up.
