Friendly staff, plenty of space in the car park. Nice and quiet, but handy for Newcastle and Gateshead, and also the A19

Fantastic staff, who made up for the poor rooms which were in desperate need of a makeover. Make you want to itch type feeling! Mould in bathroom and walls around the bed. Tv and shower both faulty (tv would not switch on due to no signal and shower wouldn’t stand upright), no heating in the bathroom, very dodgy wiring (lamp connected to a extension via duck tape) £60 per night - the least amount of money I’ve ever paid for a hotel and the above says it all. Sometimes it’s too cheap! Not one to give another go which is a shame as the staff are genuinely really great 5/5,

Comfortable but too pricey

Really friendly and helpful staff, price of room bit too much for what it was even though I was warmed by staff and hospitality I wouldn't return because of the price of the stay for one night

Hi thanks for your positive review, our priceing structure is in line with government guide lines V.A.T Taxes and multiple licences to pay not to mention the running costs of a small business, the Dorset Arms Hotel has been running successfuly for 20 years, we are a hub of our community, employing and supporting young people threw there careers, we have a restaurant which employs hard working staff, we have well maintained gardens beautifulI flowers etc. thank you for your positive comments and hope you do return.

Very noisy party going on downstairs and drunk people staggering around the hallways. Twin room instead of double. Had to rebook and move to another hotel after midnight. Terrible experience.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you feel you had a negative experience. As an Inn, we regularly hold functions in the restaurant/function room and are particularly busy on weekends. Our closing time for these functions is strictly 11:30. These details are clearly advertised on our website. Thank you for your comments, they are all taken into consideration.
