Small room, hardly any space to move, could not even move the chair out of the desk without touching the bed.

The room was a flight of stairs to the first room , a long a corridor down two flights of stairs which were narrow . Through a heave door only to find the steps down literally as you open the door and then three stairs up to the room . All very narrow and difficult to carry bags . I was asked if I needed help but the main stair case was fine if I had been made aware of how far the room was away I would have taken it . Staff very friendly

Dear Leigh, Thank you for your feedback. The hotel was built back in the 1840's with a few additions over the years, and a few different levels and narrow at some points, which I like to call quirky. Lovely to hear you had a good Northeast welcome from the staff you met. We hope to welcome you again in the future to the Roker Hotel.

Limited options for vegetarians in the hotel restaurant. Very noisy if you did choose to eat there with a DJ playing loud music in the bar. Coffee in the room and at breakfast was dreadful, please change the brand. Room was nice, but not particularly clean, our view was of an air conditioning duct and the back of a building, bathroom was clean.

I shall pass on your comments regarding vegetarian options and the coffee to our food and beverage manager, and pass on your comments of room cleanliness to our housekeeping manager. Overall a Very good stay 3 nights, Staff very good especially the breakfast staff nothing to much trouble, Room was ok we had a problem the first night but was resolved very quickly by Reception, room could do with small table and 2 chairs instead of large chair, View out back would be better if area was tidy. Bathroom large and spotless , better with light curtains and hand rail on wall of bath 78 getting old lol,, ate in 3 nights night 1 ok night 2 excellent night 3 Not good. In all a good stay we do travel around Hotels after 30yrs a Publican serving beer and food Did Not want Bedrooms lol Ian Ann MBII
