Loved the apartment

We were very pleased with our stay at The Inn at Shady Lawn in Newland! Easy check-in with friendly staff, room was very clean, spacious and well stocked with freash linens. The area was quiet, felt very safe and within easy walking distance to nearby restaurants. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others!

An ice machine would be nice, and better quality coffee for in-room maker use. I would also like a much lighter weight duvet for the summer months…I had to really crank the AC to be comfortable to begin sleeping as it was way too warm a covering for the season, yet just a bedsheet was a bit too cold with mountain night temps.

Thank you for your nice review. Due to local health inspection restrictions we are not allowed to have a public ice machine. However, we do have one in the office and we can supply you with an ice bucket for your room or ice for your cooler. I’m very sorry that you were not made aware of that arrangement. Concerning the Duvet, we do our best at trying to satisfy our guest’s needs. You wish it was lighter and a month ago, a lady wished it was “thicker”.I’m sorry that it was not exactly what you needed. Thank you again for your review and please try us again and we will strive to make you happier. In the meantime, safe travels.
