The grounds and facilities were wonderful and staff was friendly. Our room was not in very good condition. The wardrobe was missing a door and there was no room to hand dresses since it was too short. The desk had clearly been broken and was screwed back together poorly. The coffee maker was placed inside the wardrobe where there was no outlet so we made coffee on the floor. The refrigerator froze our food and had no temperature setting. It was tiny tiny (just big enough for a gallon of water). There had been an attempt to remodel but only half the room’s furniture was remodeled. It was comfortable but just not the quality we would have expected from Hyatt. Parking is an additional $40 per night and there are no good options to park around the hotel. Over all however, it was an enjoyable experience. Again, just not Hyatt quality.

Nice resort with 3 beautiful pools. Cute that they have a kids’ golf course. They also have a life size chess board, shuffle board, beach volley court and kids golf course (along with normal one). Great bar and lounge. Restaurant was good. The property is definitely not fancy. But nice enough. Our room was a disappointment because it was at the very end of a dark hall right next to the housekeeping facility. There were 3 weddings going on, so we figured it was pretty full and didn’t ask to change rooms.

Lots of great activities, including pools, tennis, and golf. Close to many restaurants and Balboa Island
