Refrigerator was not working on arrival
Publié le 17 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe fridge was not working, the owner told us to buy coolers and ice, and they would reimburse us. However, it was just said to placate us, and they never reimbursed me. It was only $150, but that's the principle. Profit over people, losers.

Very Mid - Don't Believe the Photos
Publié le 17 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayLike most rentals along the Newport Peninsula, this one is mid. Here's what we did not like:
1. The photos are old and do not accurately reflect reality. We booked this rental based upon the photos and thought we could accommodate more people. When we arrived - there is no Futon. One of our teenagers had to sleep on the floor.
2. There is not a futon in the master, nor lamps on night stands in the master.
3. The lighting throughout the home is awful
4. The outside water tap to wash sand off feet is broken
5. Like most rentals - this unit is well-used.
6. The sink and showers don't drain well at all.
7. The floor is extremely dirty. I wore sandals everywhere except the shower and the bed.
Things we like:
1. Patio area is nice
2. Nice BBQ grill - this was very clean or brand new
3. Sofa-bed was convenient
4. Ask property management for more bedding - responsive.
5. Beach chairs and other beach items were good.
We come to Newport several times a year. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

Publié le 26 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property should not ever be rented to family of 8. You are renting the top level of a unit and the property manager will threaten to put you out and charge your card. Regular living noise ( walking, talking, etc) bothers the downstairs neighbor.

Modern property with issues
Publié le 28 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe property is renovated and in a good location. That said, there were some issues. Some photos are not from this property. The supplies were low (no facial tissue; a tiny amount of shampoo). The outdoor table was covered in a thick layer of dust; I cleaned it myself. Finally, a group in the unit below was having nonstop marihuana parties. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back.

One block from Beach
Publié le 15 juin 2021 sur HomeAwayThis property is upstairs with a unit downstairs. Parking worked but was difficult if you have more than one car. There was one parking spot in the open garage thru and alley but the neighbor across from us had two cars parked one in back of another making it hard to maneuver in and out. Also at one point there were two cars parked in the alley and we could not get our small car into the alley so we had to go around the block to approach the alley from a different way. The unit is nice though and only one block from the beach. The patio was nice to sit and relax on. There is a 10:00 noise curfew so if you are a party crowd this home is not for you. There were chairs, boogie boards and such for our use on the beach and towels so really no need to take beach gear. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed EXCEPT the can opener did not work at all, I forgot to tell the PM this. The property management company was responsive and very organized with their own app which was very user friendly. We were not too close to the main pier area, you could walk there but it would be a at least a 15 min-20 minute walk probably (did not try it). The girls walked to the grocery store so as not to lose a parking place and there are things with in walking distance (like 10 minute walk). The place was pretty clean but the showers could use some re caulking and some touch up paint is probably needed to freshen things up at the baseboards and door jams but overall it was pretty clean

Great location, poor cleanliness
Publié le 11 nov. 2020 sur HomeAwayGreat location, plenty of room! Easy to park, walk to the beach and view of beach was fine. The down side, floors were dirty, furniture was dirty, had to wash every dish we used prior to using and the smoke detectors were not attached to ceiling. The only detector went off due to low battery. The house definately needs to be cleaned and furniture vacumed.

Great location and home!
Publié le 17 juill. 2020 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful vaca and truly enjoyed this beautifully remodeled home in Newport. A block from the beach was easy to get to and we would go several times day/night. Had a groups of 10 and never felt crowded - was very spacious!
