Spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer
Publié le 30 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property is very outdated. The kitchen sink was clogged the entire time, the bathroom toilet was clogged and we had to plunge it. The bathroom stunk. The water from the shower soaks the entire bathroom. All the beds were creaky. The floor is slippery because of the sand that comes in on feet. Overall just not a comfortable experience

Location is great, place is okay

However, the floors were not clean and the beds had some debris on them when we arrived. Various things in the house were rickety and/or broken as other reviews have mentioned. The host was quick to respond, but didn’t resolve anything proactively. The kitchen needs more dishes to allow for larger groups.

THANKSGIVING FAIL
Publié le 26 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayRefrigerator didn’t work so property mgr brought two small ones. Inadequate for family Thanksgiving. We did not cook Thanksgiving here due to inadequate fridge space for groceries for Thanksgiving dinner.
Dishwasher doesn’t work.
Floors were filthy at check-in.
Lighting is inadequate in living room.
Broken bedside table lamp at check-in.
The owner needs to invest in some new appliances and brighten up the place by painting the kitchen cabinets, fireplace. Also need to stock more dishes and utensils. (Place sleeps 8 but there were 5 cereal/salad bowls, and no dinner forks)
Location is fabulous.

Quite some difficulties to communicate with Vaca property management, with had an issues with access code during our stay and it was very difficult to get a hold of anyone…

Upstairs perfect location
