Great Lake house

Back Again
Publié le 30 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwaySweet, cozy cottage right on the shore of Lake Sebasticook. My husband and I have stayed here several times and will be back, hopefully, for many more visits. It's small but provides a comfortable place to unwind. It's quiet. Morning coffee on the sunporch and sunset next to the campfire are the best !
Stairs inside are steep and are not suitable for children or those with mobility issues. The outside has many, many tree roots with uneven terrain so care must be taken when walking next to the cabin. Lots of space for playing games and such on the back lawn and the small front yard is great for reading and R&R.
Restaurants, fast food, grocery stores ( Walmart and Hannaford) are located within a couple of miles.
Bangor is 30 min drive and Bar Harbor is a couple of hours away if you fancy a day trip.
Pets are welcome. Washer and dryer are provided. There is a pod-type coffee maker and microwave but no dishwasher.
Overall a nice little place for a couple to spend a relaxing vacation.

Wonderful lakeside cottage with lots of privacy
Publié le 26 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe only problem we had was finding the driveway since there was a neighborhood party going on and there were cars parked at the head of the driveway. Other than that, the cottage was perfect and the owner very helpful. I would point out the staircase to the bedroom is rather steep and narrow and perhaps would be difficult for some older folks.

Quilt Cottage
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cottage is cozy, comfy and in great shape. Clearly, guests have been considered in the planning. Nothing hard about staying there. And, of couse, the Lake is magnificent. Loved seeing all the ways the weather played with the sky over the water!

Relaxing vacation

The property manager was very responsive and gave us some good tips on local dining. Very relaxing. We would definitely recommend it and would definitely go back ourselves.

Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe lake was beautiful with clear water and a small beach area. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable. Sleeping on the screened in porch was a treat. Upstair bedroom was quite warm. Could use additional tower fan. Comfortable queen bed. The outside equipment could use some updating. 3 of the 5 water crafts had a broken part or two. Lounge chairs would be a great addition, however, overall a really nice rental cottage. Close neighbors but very friendly.

Thank you for the review. I will look into the outside equipment. I didn’t realize they had broken parts. We will have an ac put in upstairs. No one else has mentioned either. Thank you for your concerns.

Great swimming spot
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe camp’s proximity to the water, screened porch and open plan are all excellent. We planned on sleeping on the porch, as the bathroom is downstairs; the “double bed” on the porch is really a double cot so it was impossible to sleep well. If the owner puts in a real, comfortable double bed on the porch, we would definitely return for another stay.
