Fantastic Stay
Publié le 26 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved everything about this place! The view was amazing! The host was very nice and communicated with us about things to see during our trip, including the northern lights! It was a relaxing, beautiful visit with hopefully many more to come!

Peaceful lake getaway

David was super responsive to any questions we had, and truly has a special property. Thanks again, and we will be back.

Quiet, relaxing and dog friendly

The house came with everything we would need, we only needed to buy groceries. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog to also be able to enjoy his time in freedom. The host was informative and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

Location was great, house was dirty!!!!
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house location was great however the state of the house was very dirty! Food left in fridge, windows covered in spider webs and dirt, towels left in washer/dryer. And we were charged another $160 for trash pickup!!!!!

Seems to be one of these fraudulent reviews every now and then when the renter disregards the house rules and gets charged, I supply four different recycle cans and only asked people to separate recyclables, this Renter did not do this and threw all the trash in with the recyclables which it states on my rental agreement will be charged $20 a bag, because I have to go through it after and do it myself, which is way gross. So they had eight bags of trash, all mixed with recyclables, yes, I charged them $160.
This might have been avoided if they didn't break another house rule, which was to simply put out the trash Thursday night or Friday morning, and they may have snuck these bags past the trash man without getting ticketed.
So they get upset,write a fraudulent review, give me a fraudulent rating, oh well you can tell that these are fraudulent because all you have to do is go to my ratings and see that I have about 130 -5 star reviews, With these coming the week before and the week after these renters come and go.

Another amazing stay in Newport

The upgrades to the kitchen were wonderful but the reason we keep coming back is the lake and the beautiful town of Newport. Swimming, sunning, kayaking, hiking, biking…the list goes on and on. The four bedrooms are so comfortable, the family room is homey, and the dining room table fit all 8 of us with room to spare. We also travel with our 60 pound farm dog and he enjoys it as much as us!!

Gorgeous View and Spacious
Publié le 25 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property had the best lake view and the home decorations were charming in every room. We felt like we were at a movie set. Also, children and pet safe. We cooked a lot so we had everything you need to make delicious meals. We would like to see updated bathroom features and a bit less dust. My allergies kicked in. Otherwise it's a great place. Hopefully next time we see Mephre swimming in the lake!
