Fantastic Lakeside Penthouse Apartment With Balcony

This one bedroom apartment occupies a fantastic location with views across the Trenance Park and Boating Lake. Please note the apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is no lift access, it is only accessible via stairs and is located on the 2nd floor.Just a few minutes walk away you'll find Newquay Zoo, Tennis Courts, Crazy Golf, a Leisure Centre and a Miniature Railway. On the park is a tea room heading towards the zoo and across from the apartment is a popular café which becomes a very busy restaurant in the evening. Just a few more minutes walk and you will be in Newquay centre where you can explore one or all 5 of the lovely beaches with plenty of activities including surf schools. Head down to Lusty Glaze to try jet skiing, abseiling and many more or walk down to Newquay Harbour and book a sea safari trip where you might see the dolphins. Newquay town has various shops, pubs, and restaurants including Walkabout.

The apartment is modern, clean, comfortable, has it's own parking space and is the perfect base to return to after a day of exploring Cornwall. The open plan living area is a perfect family space with a door opening on to the balcony but has the privacy of a separate bedroom. There is room for 4 with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area which is ideal for 2 children or one adult, although it will sleep 2 adults it is slightly smaller than a true double bed. It comes very well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, tv/dvd combined, Freesat tv, free Wi-Fi, washing machine, maiden, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board should you need them. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and an under sink cabinet along with a wall mounted cabinet

Flat is fab, great location and just as the description. Couple of cleanliness things gave me the ick (prob down to who services the flat and not the owner). Wished I’d tried to negotiate on price as realised after that people do and was abit over my budget. Even with that we would stay again 👍

Overall the apartment was fabulous although the bathroom was a little small. Very well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The water pressure was brilliant which was great when showering. The only thing lacking in the bathroom was toilet roll, less than one. T roll provided. There was everything we could want for our stay. The bed is a memory foam mattress which was perfect for a good nights sleep. The views from the balcony onto the boating lake was great. Newquay town centre and other local attractions are all walkable but thwre is also a bus stop close by. Was a great base for visiting the areas surrounding Newquay. The only let down was the cleanliness in the kitchen area. It was as though it had been missed as crumbs were on the work surfaces and the handles ofvthe units, in particular the fridge were dirty. Easily resolved by some antibac wipes. Everything else was spotlessly clean. Lovely apartment and would definitely choose to stay there again.

Recommended apartment for your stay in Newquaq
Overall I can recommend this apartment in Newquay. The location of the apartment is within a small and quiet street. You can walk within 15 mins to the town centre/ beach/ supermarket (Aldi or Lidl). The apartment is spacious, has a fully eqipped kitchen, a private parking spot, a nice view from the living room and a separate bed room. The bathroom is quite small, but it is ok if you have a slim figure. Things that could be improved: The adress of the apartment is not shown correctly in Google Maps. It will direct you to another building in the same street. The owners of that building told us that we were not the first ones which thought that the apartment is located in their building although in realtiy it is located in a different building of the same street. In addition to that we had an issue to lock the main door. Surprisingly you had to lift the door handle before you can lock the door. Although that seems to be normal for Cornwall/England, it was totally unexpected for us (and I believe for others from outside England as well). Unfortunately it was not mentioned by the owners and it took us 15 min to figure out the locking mechanism of the door. However, those things are only minor issues as the overall apartment can really be recommened and is rather cheap compared to other apartments in that area.

Friendly, liveable, pretty, not the cosiest
We had a good stay at Trenance Court. I would perhaps recommend to friends and family in the warmer months but the heating was too inconsistent for the cooler months. Here are the main points: Pros: - Friendly and bright aesthetic, very much a seaside theme - Clean property - Lovely private feeling - Owners just a phone call away - Fully equipped working kitchen - Beautiful lake just across the road with a cafe and pedal boats for hire - Nice short walk into Newquay proper - Dedicated parking spot just outside Cons: - Listing amenities mention a dryer- there is a washing machine and a drying rack, to be clear. - Heated by several electric heaters located around the flat. One of them (closest to the door) emitted a faint burning smell when active so we avoided using it. Heating is inconsistent and either becomes extremely muggy or ice cold. We would wake up at least once a night to adjust the heating. - Towels looked crisp and clean but we both noticed they gave off a very strong damp smell- it might be time to purchase new towels for the property. - The boiler, though it seems to work just fine, appears to supply just about enough hot water for one good shower per 1.5 hours. It posed quite the difficulty when we both wanted a nice hot shower after an ice cold sleep. On the whole, I would characterise it as a good stay and a good base to explore Newquay.

We had a good stay at the apartment. There was enough space for all of us. But it was dusty and the door was covered in cobwebs when we arrived. It's very nice to have a washing machine but we missed a clothesline.

Very clean, well-equipped apartment in a convenient safe location
The apartment had everything we need for a week’s stay. It was clean and well decorated and came with soft fluffy towels. Prime location next to a quiet lake. Nice restaurant next to the lake. Another nice restaurant near the garden next to the lake. 30 minutes walk to Tolcarne Beach and Great Western Beach. Sofa bed was a little hard and the apartment was on the second level and quite a walk from the carpark. It was not a problem for our young family but something to note as this may not suitable for everyone.

NIce apartment, great location
This apartment is nice and well equipped. The exterior of the complex is a little shabby, but it is very well maintained inside. The location is excellent - very convenient for getting away from Newquay to explore the rest of the county, whilst still being close enough to walk in to the town (albeit with a significant hill). Having the park directly opposite the property was lovely.

Beautiful apartment but lots of stairs
This apartment was wonderful! Overlooking the boating lake in Newquay. Very well appointed with the exception of toilet paper. I had to duck out to buy some as soon as I arrived. There are quite a few stairs to access the apartment, but once you are there, it is fantastic.

Gezien de recensies hoopten we op een zeer schoon appartement. Helaas was dit niet zo. Remsporen in het toilet, vloer was niet schoon, plakte. Haar in de koelkast. Tip voor de eigenaren. Koop een, maar beter twee, braadpannen/wokpan. Er was nu een oude kromme koekenpan die amper contact kon maken met de kookplaat.

Second stay at this lovely apartment which was very clean and well equipped. Far enough outside of Newquay to be away from the crowds but close enough to walk should you not want to take the car.
