No reception or staff until breakfast. Fire safety

Very steep steps at entrance and narrow winding staircases on several floors inside.. difficult with suitcase. We’re elderly but not disabled. Anyone with walking difficulty should avoid this place. Dark basement for breakfast not inviting. Very concerned that 2 fire doors were propped open all night. No staff at all (except at breakfast) threats of being charged for phoning manager after 9pm.

Thank you for leaving us a review. Upon booking all information regarding stairs and floors are displayed on all affiliated websites, on all websites it states that the property isn’t disability friendly. Breakfast is on the ground floor, the room is well lit and airy. It may be the case that other customers staying in the property have left the fire doors open, if you were that concerned you could have closed them yourself. Regarding no staff present, self check in is there for a reason as people come and go at all times of the day and night, it is simply not possible to stay at the property 24/7. Regarding phoning the manager after 9pm, this is incorrect as charges only apply if there are unnecessary calls which are not deemed to be valid. I have calls at 3:30am which are very unnecessary. You could have voiced your concerns with me in our ‘dungeon’ breakfast room.

Been here 10 weeks in total and can honestly say one of the most comfortable and friendly b&b i have ever stayed in , and the breakfast is amazing. Then the is the staff and the owner , nothing is too much trouble, lovely.

Couldn't recommend the bed and breakfast enough. Tina and Hannah are amazing hosts and cannot do enough for you . Rooms are really comfortable and clean and breakfast is exceptional. I will be returning. Thank you .

Lovely friendly staff. My colleague was working night shifts and Tina was especially helpful with the parking advice - it was really appreciated.

The room is lovely but delegating check-in procedures is going to drag down your ratings. We received no information about how to enter the premises, how to turn the heat on, etc.which soured the whole effect of a lovely facility. The owner did rectify things but should beware of delgating important tasks to staff unfami,iar with the property.
