Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWhen walking in the place, a hole right when you walk in, dirt all over the floors and a dead cockroach as soon as you walked in. When we put our stuff in the refrigerator, they had it set on 80 so it took 20 hours for the refrigerator to get cold. When we messaged him about it he said that he will try to get somebody out there in the morning if it didn’t start working by then cause he lived a hour and half away. We had to go buy a cooler and ice just so our cold stuff wouldn’t go bad during the night.
Most of the blinds are all broken, the lights advertised on the outside patio are half out(plus the outlet was broken so we had to go buy a drop cord to reach the porch), the outside cushions were dry rotted, found molded bread in the cabinets and when we tried to sweep all the bugs up there’s a broom in the closet that’s been through it.
Friday afternoon the AC quit working and when we messaged him about it he sent us a video how to work it. We knew how to work it but it is controlled by their phones and it keep on changing the temperature, it got to 81 over night. He sent someone Saturday morning and the man found the issue and the reason we keep smelling fish around 4 o’clock everyday.
It’s a cute place but not taking care of and not well maintained.

Publié le 6 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe’ve been looking to purchase a home in Ninety Six and recognized the pictures of this one. It was a perfect location for us. The house was comfortable and fairly well appointed. Only 1 dish towel was provided but we had to leave a day early due to the hurricane and possibility of flooding. The remote for the main t was MIA and so we were unable to use it.Could have used a couple more coffee cups with some size rather than the dainty little ones. A rug by the front door would be nice since we had several downpours. Also bedside lamps in the bedrooms. All minor things in the overall scheme of things. Will definitely return in the near future unless we buy our own home in the meantime.

Publié le 12 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing time. The property was nice and loved that the kids could get in the water where it was shallow. The house was nice. Owners need to come in and check to see what needs to be fix such as broken blinds, new broom would have been nice and someone had put a hole in the wall as you come in front door. A/C upstairs was awesome. Down stairs would reset in middle of night and kids got hot. Overall it was an amazing time. Also, it was a great neighborhood and I would recommend staying there.

As stated from previous reviews, the outside needs a good power wash. We were there in November and the bugs and cobwebs out front were pretty bad. Also, the ceiling fans had a year's worth of dust on them that I cleaned.

Publié le 26 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayPros: Has a Huge kitchen and a master bedroom that opens to back porch with seating and a gas grill. ( not sure if gas included as we did not use it) Beds downstairs were comfortable. There were plenty of extra supplies like coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, peanut butter, spices, towels, blankets, trash bags, and laundry detergent. Wifi worked perfectly. I booked this place bc of the size, firepit area, and lake. It was me, my 2 daughters and 5 of their friends.
Cons: The 'lake' was dried up from the shore to the end of the long dock. Very unattractive. No charcoal or wood provided for the firepit but the lights worked. Urine (we think from a cat) smell on the floor in bathroom and on the queen mattress downstairs, spiderwebs on walls throughout.
As women, when we turned onto the road to the house the neighborhood looked like it might be sketchy but we didn’t have any issues while there and the owner was immediately responsive when I texted him about the wifi password upon arriving.
At half a grand for Friday 4 PM thru Sunday 10 AM I was very disappointed bc I wanted it to look special out by the lake. My daughter is getting married and she loves looking at the stars. Had I known it was a mud puddle I wouldn’t have chosen this rental.

Don’t stay here
Publié le 4 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe pictures of this property must be very old. House was extremely dirty and hasn’t been kept up. A mattress was soaking wet and it had to flipped over to be slept on. We would have found somewhere else to stay but we had my elderly grandmother and my handicapped aunt with us so it would have been very difficult to move them at that point. Property owner took a full day to respond to my messages and still offered no help. I should have believed the negative reviews that were already left about the property. Please save yourself the trouble and just don’t stay here. It’s disgusting and the host doesn’t care.

Lovely Lake House
Publié le 25 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayGreat location overlooking Lake Greenwood, close to Ninety Six and about 20-25 minutes from Greenwood. Plenty of room with 4 bedrooms, including 4 twin beds upstairs. We didn’t have time for the fire pit, but it looked very inviting with a beautiful view of the lake.
