Terrible stay at gecko cottage
Publié le 9 oct. 2020 sur HotelsMy stay was terrible at gecko cottage, I searched for the place for 30 minutes thinking will see the name outside but no, I had to search using house number 70. Worse part I didn't know I was going to sleep in the garage. It was very cold and I asked for a blanket and Sharon gave me dirty blanket with the smell of dogs

What an awful review. Taking into account that we are a 9.6 (Exceptional) rating on other platforms, we find this review hard to stomach.
Firstly, on booking, all our guests receive a pin location and sms / whatapp directions to the property, our guest did receive these details, so we are unsure why the guest was lost, it could be because the guest did not arrive until 21:45, so in the dark it would be difficult to see our Geckos and the large property Number 70, also, if lost, we would expect a guest to telephone us for assistance. Kindly note, - Latest check in time is 19:00 ,this guest did telephone us at 18:30 to say they would be a 'little late'!
The Annex is certainly not a garage, it is a very comfortable studio room.
Regarding 'Dirty Dog smelling blanket' - This is ridiculous. The only 'odd smell' we could possibly think of could be the new Antibacterial disinfectant in-wash laundry sanitizer we have started using, so we take exception to this comment.
We do wish that all guests with any issue or complaints would actually speak to us. Had this guest expressed their worries we could have ironed this out quickly.

Great host, perfect stay, safe parking for big 4x4

He does game drives and shares his passion about the animals and where to find them ;) - I will be back! Thank you so much Andy for all your help.
