This was our first trip to Aruba, and the Rio Palace was an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The resort is spacious and welcoming, with every staff member making you feel right at home. We stayed in the all-inclusive section, where meals and drinks were part of the package. While my wife and I don’t drink, so I can’t comment on the quality of the cocktails, I did notice plenty of French champagne bottles floating around! The food, however, was exceptional. We were always impressed by the variety offered at every meal. The location of the resort is fantastic—situated in a great part of the island with plenty of entertainment nearby, including restaurants, other resorts, and a ton of activities. Before visiting Aruba, we were frequent guests in Turks and Caicos. Now, we’re torn between the two destinations because each has its own unique vibe. That said, Aruba definitely impressed us with its charm. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Aruba. It was an unforgettable experience!

Overall the property was amazingly beautiful. The only issue we had was with room service. The minibar was never restocked until the last full day we were there. We had to keep putting in requests to get water and soda for the minibar. The requests were getting completed but we never received the items. We went to the front desk one night and were told someone would bring it up to us. That never happened. The next day we requested the minibar to get restocked again, once again the requests got accepted and completed but we never received the items. We also called down to the front desk to request the restock. Still nothing. We finally went back down to the front desk and explained to them what was going on. They put in a request as well. That night we finally got water but no soda. The next day and only day, the minibar was fully restocked.

We absolutely loved everything about the RIU All Inclusive. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful and our room was fantastic. The only thing we did not like was that you couldn't go in the pool after 7:00 pm. We would've loved to swim after dinner. However I would give the RIU a 10/10. Thank you for a fabulous vacation.

Buffet was amazing, really 5 star food. Security was on point staff was great shows were wonderful. Only complaint is that the curtains and couch in our room needed a little updating. No big deal.

During my stay in Room 1136 from August 14-16, 2024, I experienced persistent air conditioning issues that made the room uncomfortably warm, despite multiple reports to staff. This stay was meant to celebrate our anniversary, but instead, we endured nights in a room that remained at 26.5°C (78°F), making it difficult to relax or sleep. I specifically paid for a room with functioning air conditioning, yet I didn’t receive what I paid for. Despite being repeatedly assured that the issue would be fixed, it wasn't until late on August 16th that I was finally informed the problem couldn't be resolved, and I was offered a room change at an inconvenient hour. This disrupted our anniversary plans and made the stay thoroughly uncomfortable and disappointing. Given the significant discomfort, the lack of promised amenities, and the impact on our special occasion, I believe more substantial compensation is warranted.

The overall atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and beautiful beach & pool were all wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. The buffet style food was the only thing that was maybe four instead of five stars. But again, overall, an amazing stay! We'll be back w/our kid!

The staff was wonderful although the pool area had a lot of people throwing items (playing catch) to one another and floating on giant rafts (despite the pool stating this wasn’t allowed via the signs). It wouldn’t be an issue altho it was extremely crowded and all of these extra pool activities were a bit annoying.
