Cabin in the Woods
Publié le 10 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayIt was August however it was 45 degrees at night. The power went out and it was pitch black. Found a flash light with out batteries. The a/c,heat unit wasn't plumbed right and it only ran for an hour at a time. Finally found a tiny little 2 foot heater that was really loud and didn't do much. No firewood for the fireplace. Which we understand due to the time of yr. The railing on the wall to go upstairs was loose wich could have been a disaster if we we had been upstairs during the power outage and had to go downstairs in the dark. The cabin was very clean with hard hard bedsloooseloose. That

Best trip so far
Publié le 16 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family and I really enjoyed our stay. My kids are 9 and 10 and deemed this "the best rental" that mom has picked so far. We found everything we could need and we were close enough to the lake that the drive each day wasn't an issue. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their privacy.

Idaho get away from Washington.
Publié le 13 août 2024 sur HomeAwayLoved the place and wasn't ready to leave. Just a few little things went wrong....The fuse kept popping and we couldn't find the fuse box, but, Jeff came to the rescue and went all laughed afterwards for not looking behind a picture. Lights outside were not working so for us old folks it was kinda hard to see at night to go to the bunkhouse to sleep. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place to stay and relax with the family. Clean, quite, and people around the cabin were very friendly.

Short stay with family
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayNot easy to find places at priest lake but this one was a gem for our family.
It has access to the lake with a 5 min walk and plenty of places to sleep. We spent most of our time outdoors so this served as a good home base.
Only wish would have been dock access but at this price I wasn’t expecting it.
Would definitely stay again.

Cute cabin in the woods
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were so happy to find this cute cabin with a bunk house. We are a family of 5 with adult children. It was perfect for us! It’s just a short walk to lake access where we enjoyed morning coffee every morning. It’s a small area with about 6 chairs and a bench and each time we were there it was just us. So peaceful!
We did not go to the public beach because we had family near by and always went to their private beach but we passed by the public beach. It was crazy crowded one day which I believe was a Sunday but the other days during the week it was pretty empty.
They had lots of extra supplies that are not always included in a vacation rental which was a nice surprise.
The only negative for this place would be that 5 of us shared one bathroom which was challenging some days. We knew this going in but worth mentioning. I would recommend adding a couple mirrors somewhere else besides the bathroom so others can have that while getting ready after showering. I don’t recall if there was one in the bunkhouse.
Overall we are extremely happy with our stay and will definitely stay there again when we go back!

Priest lake cabin
Publié le 20 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayHad a great time at priest lake cabin, it’s private and rustic and the location is very convenient. Had a little trouble with intermittent wi-fi, other than that everything was wonderful!

Nice cabin near the lake
Publié le 22 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayCheck in was easy. We arrived at night and went right to bed. It gets very chilly at night so make sure to set a fire and wake up to tend to it or you will wake up freezing! Clean place stocked with pots, pans, utensils. Probably won’t be back out to this area again in my lifetime but if I ever am, i’d stay here again :)

PEACEFUL PRIEST LAKE BUNGALOW IN THE WOODS
Publié le 15 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful early August stay at Jeff's cabin. It is centrally located on Priest Lake's West Side just above Elkins Resort and Ledgewood Public Beach.
Jeff's cabin is wonderful in that it reminds me of our family cabin on Pinto Point that we owned from the late 50's until we had to sell it in the late 90's. It is wonderfully homey and just what you would expect from a cabin---lots of character and charm---and not a sterile McMansion. Very clean with no pests.
Amenities included Smart TVs in the cabin and the bunkhouse (currently there is no wi-fi but we were able to stream fairly easily using the hot spot on our Verizon phones. Lots of DVDs as well! A very large refrigerator/freezer. New glass top electrical oven, and outdoor BBQ.
A one block walk takes you to a small beach access.Small but a nice spot to swim and lake watch.
1.5 miles away is Ledgewood Public Beach with it's nice sandy beach.
A 15 minute drive south gets you to Hills Resort (the largest resort on the lake with great food/bar scene and beautiful ;lakeside sunsets on the deck overlooking the lake) and Tamrack (the only real grocery store on the lake).
A 15 minute drive north gets you to Beaver Campground Public Day Use beaches and to the famed Priest Lake Thorofare. We took the 200 yard trail from the the north side of the campground down to the Thorofare and put in our Stand Up Paddleboards for one of the most memorable paddles I have experienced. Great fishing as well!
Thanks Jeff!!!
