This property is well situated for walking into town for meals and shopping. It is a little tired,the showers don't work to well, but the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need to self cater, and the beds were clean and comfy and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Thank you for your wonderful review. The massage spa showers have three controls, but we have installed a separate divertor like regular home showers, to make it super easy for guests. Guests only need to use the divertor, and can ignore the other controls. The showers work really well. There has never been any issues with the massage spa showers. The friendly staff are on on hand, all day, seven days per week, for any assistance.

We had just the relaxing four week holiday we were hoping for with some unexpected additions, e.g. free avocados, bananas, book library. The manager, Timar was attentive to any request and made us feel very welcome.

I travel to Norfolk often for work and will not be staying anywhere else after experiencing Cumberland Resort. Tima and her team are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The villas are perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Lovely modern kitchen and BBQ on the deck if you get sick of eating out.

Good stay
Publié le 10 janv. 2024 sur HotelsHad a two bedroom two bathroom Villa. Good as we could do our own breakfast and lunches. Plenty of room with outdoor alfresco as well. Close to town - five minute walk. No air conditioning had ceiling fans in bedrooms. Needed one in lounge room. Staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.

Hi Margo and many thanks for your positive comments about our accommodation and staff. Please note that none of the accommodation on the island has the aircon due to restriction. We would provide you with another fan to be in the lounge area if you have advised us so. We thank you again for staying with us and looking forward to welcoming you back in the near future

We take this feedback seriously. Norfolk Island is a subtropical destination with humidity and it is impossible to guarantee that there won't be the odd cockroach despite all our best efforts. Besides regular professional pest control, our housekeeping service is the considered the best on the island, which is why no other guest has ever complained about cockroaches. The review is not balanced, and the guest mentions absolutely nothing else, like the central location, enjoying the fastest and most reliable internet on the island, or the great onsite service, or the massage shower, or heated swim spa pool, day spa, spa baths, or the resort rent cars available.

Tema and her staff were fantastic and were willing to do all they can to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were immaculately clean, however the property in general could do with an update. Cumberland is easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Make sure you book tours through Tema, allow her to weave her magic!
