I would stay at the Governors Lodge again. The staff are great, helpful and friendly. The cabins are basically a small house and very comfortable. The pool was good. If you have a car you park outside your cabin and the lodge can organise your car hire for you.
Tour coaches stop outside reception. Bailey's restaurant is slightly upmarket with delicious food.
The only negative is no free wifi and the paid wifi isn't stable. It's a walk into Burnt Pine township but no problem if you're fit.

Thank you for your feedback.Unfortunately, we are unable to have toasters in the cabins as the fire alarms are very sensitive. We don't unfortunately have a Fire Department on the Island apart from the airport and the local Fire Service that service the hotel are all volunteers. This caused an issue as the alarms were being trigged daily, so toasters were removed from the rooms.

Food In Bailey’s really good. No free wifi or aircon. Although the fans did the job, as it wasn’t too hot, so not necessarily a complaint! Staff friendly and mostly very helpful

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the Bailey's experience and that the staff have been helpful during your stay. Just a point of clarification, we have no air-con across Norfolk Island, only properties that have had approval from the Local Government Authority are allowed air-conditioners and it is usually isolated to those that have health needs or it is essential for them to function as a business. Once again thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

The Deluxe One Bedroom Cabin was spacious and clean. Some of the furniture was dated and the lounge is worn. The gardens are impressive, whilst the pool and spa were popular spots each afternoon. It is a quiet location with nice views. Unfortunately, there is no cooking allowed in the cabin not even a toaster which was disappointing. The WiFi is very limited.

Easy walk to town but car required to get to beach. Restaurant was closed and cafe unavailable often, but food always available across the road at Hilli's.

Not clean and were supposed to get a free bottle of wine but didn't happen. It was also supposed to be air conditioned and self contained but nothing

Lovely grounds and nice restaurant.
Publié le 17 nov. 2017 sur WotifWe bought a package deal and the flight arrangements for our one case weighing 14.7 kg were dreadful. Air New Zealand who took over from Virgin from Sydney to Norfolk wanted 186 dollars one way to as the luggage was only covered from Melbourne to Sydney. Who would want a ticket that left their luggage in Sydney.
