Clean vintage motel
Convenient location with a vintage 50's decor. Clean motel with adequate space. Carpet very worn and that detracted from the rating significsntly. If that were fixed, it would br quite charming.

Excellent choice in Norman. Our son is an undergraduate student at OU and whenever we visit him, we stay at the Thunderbird. The staff is wonderful, everyone is very helpful and attentive. They help us with everything. Family atmosphere, very organized and clean, with cozy accommodations.

Hidden gem in Norman. Affordable and good location. Although the surrounding area is not very nice and the motel could be updated, it was very clean and well kept with everything in working order. Would stay here again. Staff was lovely and accommodating.

The Queen of Norman's two-star inns?
The first thing that I noticed upon entering my room was the ancient TV. While surprising, I immediately realized that it would not affect my comfort, as my eyes are typically glued to my phone or another screen that travels with me. My room was furnished as was typical for a nicer motel of a couple of decades ago, but was immaculately clean, with a solid door. The shower was excellent. The exterior of the building similarly could use some updating, but again, was very clean and well lit. The only staff member that I encountered was a very friendly and helpful manager by the name of Mel. Her attitude was quite remarkable. Because of her, I left town confident that I will be returning to Thunderbird on future visits to Norman, despite my mild disappointment with the firmness of my mattress. When I told the friends I was visiting in Norman of my experience, they told me that it was far better that what they heard from another recent guest who stayed at a competing "chain" Inn of a similar tier.

This is a "no frills" hotel - as they acknowledge it to be. The building is older, but well-kept. Outside entrance to all rooms. The room was basic, very clean, and adequate for a brief one-night stay. The price is reasonable. We were warmly greeted when checking in. Would return if in the area again.

The lodge was easy to find and right off of the interstate. The area was quiet, as was the lodge. Room was spacious and comfortable. The lodge was close to all the things we wanted to do, and the Staff was amazing!! Very friendly and easy to talk to. The stay there was wonderful and if we travel to Norman again, we will be staying there again. Thank you all so very, very much!!!!

Was given a second floor room when there were plenty of ground floor rooms available. Dirty washrag still in shower from previous occupant. Other than that, the room was good sized and nice
