Good location- perfect for our getaway
Publié le 24 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed for the weekend to attend a wedding nearby. The size of the home was perfect for our family of 5. It was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck! The only issue was that one of the queen beds was really hard and not very comfortable.

Essence of North Beach
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a return trip to North Beach for our family, and it was well worth the investment. We fully enjoyed our stay at Normandy, and TBH, not all of us are easy to please so that’s saying something, lol. It was a lovely location with a partial view of the bay front a block away. The house was just as expected and does come with beach passes - which is a huge plus since beach access would cost us $80/day otherwise! One note (which we didn’t realize upfront), the passes are vacation rental passes which means that it gets the pass holder and four of their guests in free. And there are two of them! It might be helpful to know that Normandy is located right off a primary street in NB; so if you have small kids they may be impacted by the rumble of motorcycles and muscle cars rolling by until 9/930p and the live band at the wheelhouse a block away. Our kids aren’t as sensitive to that stuff anymore thankfully, but if it was a few years ago they likely would have been slow to sleep (the sounds quickly dies down after 930p). Otherwise, Normandy had a fantastic deck and supplies! We would stay again and definitely can’t wait until another visit to NB as well! Such a unique gem of a town - it’s true that it doesn’t have the pomp and circumstance of larger ocean beaches, but then isn’t that the point? A lovely option to explore and definitely more unique :)

Loved North Beach!

Excellent Experience
Publié le 20 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur first trip to the Chesapeake Bay area and we were thrilled with the Normandy Cottage. Clean and plenty spacious enough for the two of us. A 1-2 block walk to multiple good restaurants, bar, shops, and the pier. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful stay at the Normandy Cottage. The property was very clean and modern. The kitchen was massive and furnished with everything you could need. We enjoyed walking around the charming town of North Beach to a bakery/coffee shop, restaurants, beach, boardwalk, and a beautiful town park. There was a little mix-up about who was to send us the check-in procedure, but that was quickly sorted out. One of the bedrooms had a thin plastic mattress cover that would get loose during the night and end up krinkling up in the middle of the bed. Needs a fabric cover. That’s our only suggestion. Everything else was perfect and we hope to return someday soon.
