Good substitute
Publié le 4 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWish I was given more info about switching properties. Thought for a couple days that I was being scammed. Luckily, I was not but, better communication would’ve been nice.
Overall, it was a good stay, though. Nice property/room/bathroom. Comfortable bed. Just what we needed for a couple nights.

Worst one yet!
Publié le 16 nov. 2018 sur HomeAwayI have spent over 15 nights with VRBO places so I mistakenly thought there was a certain quality standard. This was by far the worst ever! I've learned my lesson and will not be staying anywhere again without pictures of the front of the property. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros: Super soft sheets, comfortable house temperature, eggs/bacon/pancake mix, and very good tech (internet).
Cons: This was a LOW INCOME neighborhood and is INCREDIBLY SCARY! We did not blend-in with our shiny rental car. Check in is at 5pm so most of the neighbors (all along this street & neighborhood) were our in front of their yards, driveways or on their porches. They stared at us as we were driving by and also getting out of our car. It was honestly so bad that we looked at walking away and losing our money and had searched for something else last minute. It was NOT clean. The shower curtain had mold all over the bottom, the little handle inside shower had pink scum, the mirror hadn't been recently cleaned, the carpet was badly stained in the bedroom we stayed in, and there was a ton of dust on the baseboards. The pictures online are not recent. The baskets & decorations do not look like the pictures online. The description is not completely accurate either ~ there wasn't any greek yogurt, cola, or Newman's coffee. There were however, very brown & over ripened bananas, expired condiments in the fridge, and spices consisted of salt & pepper. There was a large dining room table to sit at and only one regular chair in what would have been the living room area. Our bedroom was so tiny there wasn't any place to sit other than the bed so our options were to sit on the bed or on the hard dining room chairs. This was also the very first time we ever have stayed at a VRBO where there wasn't a TV anywhere so we could watch the news. Check out is at 10am but with one shared bathroom and when other guests take a long time, this is a very unrealistic expectation. To the owners credit though - she didn't bother us about having to leave later.
Again, we DID NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD! We went out for the evening the night we arrived and as we were pulling into the neighborhood, we started gathering all of our stuff so we could quickly exit the car and run inside to lock the door. We were beyond disappointed in both the cleanliness and location of this property ~ it did not meet our expectations in the least!

Perfect Stay
Publié le 6 nov. 2018 sur HomeAwayThis place was perfect. I attended a wedding at Charleston Harbor Resort, the price was a little too much for me to stay at the resort. I found this place and fell in love with it. The owners are very nice and willing to help anyway they can. It was about 20 minutes to Charleston Harbor Resorts. The house was excellent and very comfortable. I think they had me sold when they had my favorite Nutrition Bar in my welcome basket.

comfort away from home
Publié le 14 mai 2018 sur HomeAwayThe home was clean and comfortable, the breakfast items were excellent. Plenty of towels and cozy robes. Brittany was very welcoming and I was beyond grateful for a place to stay while my grandson was getting surgery. Affordable, clean, neat, welcoming and yummy breakfast items. (organic) which is even better. The neighborhood was a little scary but once in the house you felt safe. I stayed 3 nights and never had an issue.
