Great Place but there are things to watch for
Publié le 19 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay overall. We had 2 issues. One is the generator would not work properly when power went out. Seems to me the generator may be undersized. The other issue we had is an intruder broke into the house at 4 am with all of us in the house. I would advise everyone to be aware of your surroundings and make sure you use the wood wedges to secure all of the sliding glass doors!
The police response and the caretakers response we great! Police was there within 15 mins of calling them. Then another group of officers came later that morning. Response time from the caretakers were awesome as well.

David, thank you for your review. We appreciate feedback so we can resolve any issues that occur. The fact that an intruder entered the house is very disturbing. Situations like are very rare in Eleuthera. In our 25 years nothing like this has ever occurred. We will post a more visible sign for our guests to lock all doors and sliders, and use the wood security blocks we do provide. Like anywhere and anyplace guests need to be diligent and aware of their surroundings. I’m happy the caretaker and police response was quick. Sadly an incident like that tarnishes the reputation of this safe, friendly, family oriented, out-island.
The generator is dependent on the island power source which is not dependable and has frequent power surges. Our caretaker, our electrician and generator team work their best to keep the generator running smoothly.

Family Vacation

The kitchen was well stocked and made it easy to cook family meals on the nights we decided to stay in. The pool/ beach front combo was a hit with our crew and the water was crystal clear. The location was private but also convenient to other beaches and sights on the island. Checking in was a breeze! We would definitely stay here again.

5 star property on a 5 star tropical island!

Everything you could need for a magical vacation is provided and you could not ask for anything more. The pool was amazing to the beach where we only spotted 9 people over the 10 day stay so we felt like we were the only people there. Only had one issue and could not figure out how the tv worked but we were not there to watch tv so it didn’t really bother us one bit…There were a couple of power cuts on the island while we were there but at the house you wouldn’t know since the generator kicked on and kept everything working perfectly!From the friendly lizards on property to the well stocked kitchen and amazing views, this property ticks all the boxes and we will be back for sure…If you visit this amazing island this property should be on your list to stay at…

Amazing Views
Publié le 29 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time with our group of friends. The house was in a nice central location and the house manager was very accommodating. The power went off a couple of times and the house generator came on immediately. That was a great PLUS! My ONLY recommendation would be some upgrades on the small appliances, (no big deal) and dresser’s in the bedrooms, otherwise, it was perfect. We will visit again. We LOVE Eluethera and all the Bahama Islands and the people. 🇧🇸

Great location

As a couple who stayed at the house and cooked most of our own food, it was nice to have grocery stores within 15 mins in either direction. Also some pretty amazing beaches on both sides of the island within 10-15 minutes by car. House was comfortable, pool was heated, ocean sound was relaxing, we enjoyed our time here.

Great location could use some updates

We work very hard to maintain Bluepalms for the comfort and enjoyment of our guests.
Essential equipment such as A/C, water filtration, generator and pool heater are new, as is the entire kitchen. The pool interior was resurfaced and retiled in Sept of ‘23. New chairs, window shades, lamps, chandelier and many linens were replaced in Sept of ‘23. Twice a year we ship pallets of items from the US to EL to refresh, renew and replace.
As you stated, Mercy and her family are a wonderful asset. They responded quickly to your needs.
