Amazing view
Publié le 11 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy overall experience was lovely, the mountain view was breathe taking. We enjoyed using the fire pit as well. However we noticed a smell coming from the hot water and we weren't sure why that was so we didn't use the hot water during our stay. Which was a bummer, we had to heat up water from out water bottles we bought. We also noticed the room was not as cleaned as we hoped, I have allergies and kept sneezing due to the dust build up and lots of cobwebs as well. Like I said wonderful cabin and experience but couple of things can be worked on. Thank you!

Well appointed off-grid hideaway
Publié le 15 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved this cabin and everything about it. It is pet friendly and there's plenty of room considering the small size. The setting is perfect, having a front-drop of beautiful Adirondack hills. We stayed for 4 nights and was greeted with spectacular morning sunrises every day, whilst sipping coffee in bed. The tendrils of mist creeps in over the Hudson in the valley beyond as the sun warms the water and forms all sorts of shapes and clouds.
There was everything we needed in the cabin for our getaway in the country, even WiFi which we didn't need. Lots of books to borrow and who needs a TV when you have that view. Lots of visits from white-tailed deer on the front stoop made our day a few times.
We took advantage of the hot tub which was a short walk, in slippers and robes. We were also treated to a great pizza by Leslie and we got to share her friendly dogs. It's a great way to meet Leslie's other guests and although it was rainy, Leslie let us eat all together in the cook house.
Scenic hikes for all hiker levels are close by, as is the great town of North Creek. The visit to the Railway Museum is a must as Anne and Pat are very knowledgeable curators and regaled us with stories of Theodore Roosevelt's mad dash to assume the Presidency in 1903 and lots more too. Basil and Wicks is a really nice restaurant and not excessively pricey; the sliders are to die for.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful getaway experience!
Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I were very impressed with this property and location. It was a “last minute” getaway for our 20th anniversary. The location was private, the view and backyard were beautiful, the cabin was cozy, clean, and well appointed. The hot tub was well worth the extra fee, and booking the hour couldn’t be simpler. We look forward to returning and staying in some of the other cabins on the property - they all look inviting!
