The owner was lovely, but the property was very dated and units quite unkept. I had to wash the dishes because of the mouse droppings found in the cupboards and did take photos to back my concerns. For the amount paid to stay it was unacceptable to have to wash the cutlery and dishes before using, and have no housing keeping for an entire week.

It was a tired property, pool was closed. House was nice but bathrooms have a musty smell. Great location and nice owner. It’s for sale so it felt like work was not put into it.

The property is in total disrepair. Paint is peeling on every ceiling in every room. Paint is peeling off the walls esp. in bathroom. There are no smoke detectors. The deck is rotting as is the skirting around the cottage, exterior is in dire need of paint. Ceiling fixture in bathoom is rusty, jetted tub only works by pushing a gfi switch (this is not to code, potentially dangerous). Walls were dirty, furniture in living room smelled. The entire cottage smelled of mold/mildew even with all the windows open. Microwave was rusty on interior and exterior. Electrical outlets were missing covers. We were forced to stay the first night as neither expedia or us could reach the owner. The next day he refused to refund us for the full 5 days we booked and would only give us a partial refund if we removed our google review. We have close to 30 photos documenting these issues. Even then he refused to refund our MC, stating he couldn't remember his pin to do this. He wanted us to wait another 3 hrs while he went back home to try and find his pin or take an etransfer (we don't use our phones for banking, so that was out) We had to demand cash which he was refusing until we threatened to call the police. Frankly I feel we should have been fully refunded. The pics he posts are not even close to reality, its a shame he is getting away with this.
