Wonderful Vacay!

Like Family
Publié le 4 août 2024 sur HomeAwayIt’s easy to write about a generic experience on a tropical island with nice weather where everything generally goes as planned, like at an all inclusive resort.
Families that stay at a VRBO are looking for more freedom and less of that manufactured experience. They want a place that feels like it’s their home away from home. Things at home, wherever that may be don’t always go as planned so at a VRBO it falls on the host and their support staff to react to things quickly and manage situations. This host was put to the test with things none of us expected, and finally at the end of the stay, a category 3 hurricane. At no point did we feel unsafe because of the support staff and constant communication with the host. No matter the issue, the host navigated situations like we were their own family. Any vacation rental can post pretty pictures, but how will they react to problems or situations that are outside their control. Now we know, and I couldn’t possibly choose another place to stay when we return to Cayman, our home away from home.

Spectacular Property

I'll highly recommend this property to couples/family wishing to explore the northside of Cayman Island.

Yes, for groups of friends or families it's a great place to hang out in privacy and comfort (like we do). It's the more casual local set up, still with excess to all the island has to offer.

Beautiful island home, great location!

Pool is small but nice and has great sun on it most of the day, but also has some areas of shade. We had fun with the pickleball court! Screened porch with fans was really nice in the evening.

Rum Point Vacation

Beautiful house

Relaxing!
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayA wonderful time was had by all at Seaside. Everything was as expected based on description and previous reviews. The pool, pickleball court, and covered porches were very much enjoyed. The kitchen is very well stocked. We were able to make large meals each evening without difficulty. We even enjoyed the wildlife that made daily appearances, especially the kitties (who we affectionately named and left food for in hopes of continued care!). The only downfall has nothing to do with the property...just the beach directly across the road is covered in trash. But a few minutes drive got us to beautiful beaches. Overall, we would absolutely return to Seaside for a future visit. Thank you Fred and Sabine for allowing us to enjoy your home.

We are glad you had a good stay at Seaside and liked the island.
As nice as it is to be on Northside, away from the hassle, as challenging are the north winds, bringing "civilization" to the shores. Cleaning efforts are in place, but it remains a constant battle. Rum Point is a wonderful alternative and has all amenities.

This property is very nice. Quiet place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view and beaches. Nice restaurant near and grocery stores. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Perfect escape from the cold
Publié le 1 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a group of 8 adults and found the house to be absolutely perfect with all the screened in porch options, we spent almost all of our time there when we were not sleeping or at the beach(s). The only small negative was the ladder to the loft which was not ideal for an adult after having a few cocktails, other than that it was perfect. The pickle ball court was also a great hit with our group, we had a few fun tournaments!
We enjoyed, Tukka, The Wharf, Rum Point and the Sea Side Grill when we didn't make food at the house. We rented a van which is a must in the part of the island as there are not any taxi's in this area. We also used the water taxi from Kaibo one day to go back and forth to 7 mile beach, it saved alot of driving and time! We stopped at almost all of the beaches on the island and found that we now have not one favorite but a few favorite beach spots for our next trip to Cayman! Perfect house for this size group! Frank and Sabine were wonderful and were very easy to get a hold of if needed, would recommend this house to our friends and family anytime!!
